i-Mate Smartflip

The i-Mate Smartflip is a revolutionary new entry into the smart phone market, offering a never before seen compact and lightweight clamshell design r...

Size, Speed, Interface and Controls, Display

No Wi-Fi, Location of SD Card Slot, Proprietary charger/USB connector, Large keypad

Compact, yet elegant and stylish, it's hard to believe the Smartflip is a fully fledged smart phone running Windows Mobile 5. An excellent unit that's only let down by the lack of native Wi-Fi.

i-mate Smartflip

The i-mate Smartflip is one of the very few i-mate phones without a combination of 'SP' or 'JAM' or 'JAS' in its name.

i-mate Smartflip

Thin and light. Speedy performance. Intuitive user interface. Dual screens. Hardware music navigation buttons.

Small screen hinders office productivity applications. Lacks Wi-Fi. Proprietary USB connector. No 3G support.

If you're looking for a compact phone but at the same time require the power to view and compose e-mail, documents, presentations and spreadsheets, the Smartflip should fit the bill nicely.

Stylish design and elaborate construction ; Strong Signal Reception and high sound quality during conversation ; Big-sized keyboard buttons ; Good music player sound in loudspeaker and headphones

The i-mate Smartflip Review

We have a look at this ultra-thin and stylish Windows Mobile Smartphone.

Nice easy-to-read screen ; Very cool secondary (external) display ; Looks good in black ; Push e-mail that works out-of-the box with Microsoft Exchange servers

Small internal memory ; Non-standard sound output adapter ; All those mini-USB retractable cables are now useless

Overall the phone shows good construction, no problems with the system in general (no, I didn't have to reset it anytime during these weeks) and worked reliably during my use.

i-mate Smartflip

Is your PDA-phone your partner in life? If its too bulky and complicated, you just sometimes want to break up with it, right? The new i-mate Smartflip is the answer to your dilemma

User-friendly navigation buttons and keys ; Compact and lightweight ; No need for a stylus to navigate menu functions ; Dual vivid LCD screen displays ; Bundled with all the useful stuff you actually need from a functional smartphone

Small LCD display which provides users with difficulties in viewing long emails or spreadsheets ; Lacks WiFi, infrared, and 3G ; Poor video or image quality due to small LCD display size ; No camera flash

If you need a mobile phone handset which can easily switch from play to work, the i-mate Smartflip mobile phone handset is a good choice. Compact, sleek, stylish and with all smartphone features, this phone will not disappoint you.
