Is the Huawei Ascend W1 the new king of budget smartphones?

Good looking ; Colourful design ; High quality screen ; Very affordable ; Long battery life ; Good call quality

The screen is a bit reflective, but not any more so than most of today's smartphones, and it has enough brightness on tap for it to still be very usable outdoors in direct sunlight.

Who's ready for a cheap Windows Phone 8 thrill?

Cheap ; Great battery life ; MicroSD slot

Average camera ; Slow web browsing ; No sat nav out of box

You're not going to buy the Huawei Ascend W1 for power, you're going to buy it for practicality and value for money. When you consider the Huawei Ascend W1 will set you back just £120 it's difficult to fault, as you're getting a pretty good deal.
