Huawei Activa 4G (MetroPCS) review: Huawei Activa 4G (MetroPCS)

MetroPCS is slowly growing its LTE network, and the Huawei Activa 4G is the latest smartphone to advance its 4G agenda. In fact, the handset is also a first for Huawei; it represents the Chinese phone-maker's first LTE phone in the U.S. It may be...

The Huawei Activa 4G has LTE support, a decent camera with a dedicated camera shutter button, and sells for a good price for a prepaid handset.

The Activa 4G's design is bulky, and there's no Android 4.0 upgrade in sight.

There are plenty of trade-offs for those considering the Huawei Activa 4G, but if LTE is your priority, it'll get you there without busting the bank.

Huawei Activa 4G (MetroPCS)

The Huawei Activa is MetroPCS's least expensive 4G phone, but it doesn't do anything particularly well.

Good data speeds. Inexpensive monthly plans.

Low-end specs. Buggy. Mediocre call quality. Poor camera.

"Was a decent phone until it blanked out on me"

I am so very dissapointed.

Had a decent camera

Ran out of Space quickly even after I saved apps to my Micro SD card. Always said Micro SD card unexpectly unmounted. And now the phone is stuck on the white Metro pcs screen.

"HUAWEI, the worse cell phone manufacture on the market!"

HUAWEI is the worse cell phone manufacture on the market. Within a few months of usage, all the features start becoming unusable, until the point the touch screen stop working and you cannot even unlock your phone. If you are lucky and your phone is...

Huawei's first 4G phone/device to land in the US. It has a front facing camera, but besides this, specifications are similar to the Ascend II it is replacing. It has a 5MP camera, 3.5MM Headset jack, for all of the people that like to use standard size...
