HTC S740 Smartphone

The S740 borrows design cues from HTC's Touch Diamond, but adds a slide-out keyboard. Is it a winning combination?

HTC S740 review

HTC has managed to make a name for itself in its own right having spent years as the design force behind handsets such as the Orange SPV range and other innovative models. It still makes phones for mobile operators - hence the T-Mobile Google Android...

If you want a smartphone that’s first and foremost a phone and quality contact manager to boot, the HTC S740 is the best of the non-3G Windows Mobile ones we’ve seen so far.

HTC S740 review

HTC is back down to business with the WinMo powered S740. But will the suits dig its messaging powers?

A solid business messenger for those who crave conventional, no frills design

HTC S740 review -

The S740 has a good battery life and a well-made keyboard

It is chunky for the pocket, the keyboard is small, and it has a poor backplate design

HTC S740

The HTC S740 is a rare beast in the Windows Mobile world. Remember when phones were phone-shaped? A numeric keyboard up front, a screen you can't touch to activate stuff? Ahh.. Those were the days. The last time we reviewed a HTC "Smartphone" was ...

I’ve been crying out for a cool smartphone. This is why the site originally appeared on the internet. A phone, with a numeric pad on the front so you can mash numbers in. No stylus, no faffing. Just a phone with some very cool extra features. This...

HTC - S740

The HTC S740 is a member of a breed of smartphone that is slowly diminishing in numbers: the Windows Mobile Standard smartphone. In this case we are talking version 6.1 of the operating system designed for ...

The 2.4-inch screen palls in comparison to the modern array of touchscreens out there and the S740 doesn't have the best physical design we've seen. But it does have a range of key features, and if the keyboard is not too small for you it is a...

HTC S740 review

With HTC's Touch range of devices saturating the market, it's refreshing to see the manufacturer reverting back to more traditional values with the HTC S740.

After an avalanche of touch screen handsets, the HTC S740 reverts back to its roots with and fast user interface and decent keyboard. The design is a little quirky, but we can just about live with that.

HTC S740

Designed with both beauty and function in mind, the S740's slender formation of bold angles and distinctive facets perfectly conceals a slide-out keyboard that makes typing-intensive tasks more pleasurable than ever before.

A very stylish device with a full compliment of connectivity features.

The camera is pretty average and the processor seems to constantly lag.
