HTC MTeoR review

A 3G Windows Mobile smartphone

It's 3G ; Decent processing power

Touchpad a bit cramped

A perfectly decent 3G handheld but it's a pity typing is so difficult

HTC MTeoR 3G mobile phone

Headlined as the first 3G Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone, the MTeoR is one of new two new phones from manufacturer HTC. There is no doubt that the MTeoR achieves what it sets out to do and compared to Orange's SPV range and other small...

3G, screen, slim shape, runs Windows Mobile 5

Can't rotate screen to get best advantage out of it, lacks keyboard

There is no doubt that the MTeoR achieves what it sets out to do and compared to Orange's SPV range and other small keyboard lacking handsets it wins out, however a BlackBerry replacement this isn't.

HTC MTeoR review

HTC's newest smartphone packs a 3G punch. Will the MTeoR dazzle like a shooting star or sink like a large stone?

Review of GSM/UMTS-smartphone HTC MTeoR (Breeze)

Right under the screen we see 4 slim buttons - two soft buttons, e-mail and Internet Explorer buttons. On the face of it, you might find them uncomfortable to work with.

HTC MTeoR

After a few years of producing rebadged phones for the networks, HTC has decided to enter the market with some own-name products. The MTeoR is one such product, pitched at the high end of the handset market.

Stylish design, clear display, fast and simple navigation, good contacts and calendar management, 3G support, music player, push messaging

No QWERTY keyboard, no Office tools, document preview only, average camera, expensive for what it does, iSync extras not officially available yet

HTC has a problem pitching MTeoR as a smartphone, because even though it looks good, it's not all that smart. The lack of a QWERTY keyboard immediately turns browsing and emailing into a torturous exercise. It's best to consider this phone as a tool...

HTC - MTeoR

You might not have heard of HTC before but it is the company behind most of the Windows Mobile Pocket PCs and Smartphones you will have seen from various network operators in the UK. In ...

The MTeoR is very much 'more of the same' in many respects as far as Windows Mobile Smartphones are concerned. The novelty of 3G support is appealing, but not if you want to make video calls.

HTC MTeoR 3G Phone Review

If you read our review of the HTC TyTN you'll remember we said that HTC has been quietly producing Windows Mobile Smartphones and Pocket PCs for others for a considerable while, and had its own brand too - Qtek - but that the company has ditched the...

The first Windows Mobile Smartphone with 3G, this is a relatively neat and compact handset with some good hardware ergonomics

If you want the full range of wireless connectivity options you are looking for Wi-Fi which is not here. Also the camera is a let down at just 1.3 megapixels, and there's no front camera for video calls.

HTC's first own brand Windows Mobile Smartphone is certainly a sharp device, neatly styled with good user ergonomics. But video calling fans should steer clear
