HTC One Mini review

A little slice of the world's best mobile phone.

Great design ; High-res screen ; Doesn't need more CPU power

Poorer battery ; Misses image stabilisation ; Storage too low

What are you supposed to do when you make the world's best phone? HTC thinks the answer is to make it smaller, shave off a few unnecessary bits and make it a whole lot cheaper.

HTC One mini

The HTC One is an excellent handset, a device that puts the design of practically all other smartphones into the shade. For several months, it was the only handset that HTC had given us, as rumours swirled about a smaller model.

Fantastic premium design, great display, Sense 5 is a sophisticated user interface

Choosing a smaller device means accepting a less-powerful device, battery life isn't great, some apps wouldn't run, more expensive than rivals, no NFC

The HTC One mini brings a lot to the party. It looks good, it sounds good and it performs well enough on everyday tasks. It's a great mid-range device, with an experience that's very much the same as the larger HTC One. It might be a little slower, it...

HTC One mini hands-on: Same great quality, smaller package - Pocket-lint

The HTC One mini has been officially announced, bringing much of the HTC One love to a smaller, more compact, more affordable handset. The big brother

HTC HD Mini review

HTC proves that Windows Mobile isn't dead yet

Compact form factor ; Great battery life ; Packed with features ; Wi-Fi router option ; High quality, multi-touch screen

It's still Windows Mobile underneath ; Browser navigation is temperamental ; No camera flash ; Poor app support

Hot on the heels of the excellent HTC Legend and the even more impressive HTC Desire, is the HTC HD Mini. But whereas the Legend and Desire both come equipped with Android 2.1, the HD Mini has to make do with Windows Mobile 6.5.3.

First Look: HTC HD mini

While many love the idea of a smartphone with a 4.3-inch screen, to most it's just too big. Perhaps realizing this, HTC has launched the HTC HD mini , a smaller Windows Mobile smartphone with a 3.2-inch display at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona....

Smaller more manageable screen, cool design

Smaller screen means keyboard fiddly, not as impressive looking as the big screen HD2

Our time was brief, but that didn't stop us enjoying the HTC HD mini even if we did have to put up with Windows Mobile briefly. If you've fancied the HD2 for some time but don't want such a large phone in your pocket, this might just be the phone...

The HTC One Mini is a scaled down version of the popular HTC One Android phone

Snazzy design ; Great size ; Strong camera

Slower processor ; Unexceptional display ; Shorter battery life

New HTC One M8 2014 vs HTC One mini vs HTC One M7 comparison review

Last year HTC launched a mini version of its flagship HTC One M7 smartphone. Now it has launched with great fanfare a brand new version of the HTC One M8, known as the M8. You'll still be able to buy the HTC One mini and the original HTC One M7,...

There's no point us calling a winner here as the new HTC One M8 is clearly the superior device. It's really up to you to decide whether the extra money is worth it and it's a tough call.

HTC One Mini

Is this the 4.3-inch device to rule them all?

Excellent 720p HD screen, Slick Sense 5.0, Rich speaker performance

No removable battery, Incompatible with some big Android games, Only 16GB onboard storage

HTC One Mini review

“Mini” is pushing it, but the One name is well deserved

One styling on a smaller scale ; Great screen ; Good camera for the money

Short battery life ; Only available at 16GB ; Not actually very mini

The HTC One has been trimmed in every way, but battery life aside the cuts are all in the right places
