Casio G'zOne Rock

Style with substance--a few layers of protective substance--is what Casio's G'zOne Rock handset ($150 with a two-year Verizon contract; price as of 12/14/09) is all about. This toughened cell phone is aimed at outdoors enthusiasts who appreciate...

Excellent call quality ; Ruggedized exterior

Camera flash may cause bright spots ; Subpar Web browser

The sturdy Casio G'zOne Rock phone will appeal to outdoors types, but anyone looking for advanced multimedia capabilities might be disappointed.

Casio G'zOne Rock - black (Verizon Wireless) review: Casio G'zOne Rock - black (Verizon Wireless)

The Casio G'zOne Rock is military-certified to withstand a variety of environmental hazards, plus it features outdoor-specific applications like a compass and a thermometer. It also has EV-DO Rev. A, Push-to-Talk, GPS, a 2.0-megapixel camera, and more.

The Casio G'zOne Rock is rather bulky, the music player interface is a little sluggish, and both photo and call quality could be improved.

The Casio G'zOne Rock is the ultimate all-in-one phone for the outdoors enthusiast, but we did wish it had better performance.

Casio G'zOne Rock – Shockproof, Dustproof, Weatherproof

Casio G'zOne Rock is water proof cell phone which means you can take this baby with your while swimming or even talk on the phone while taking a shower. But the highlights of the phone have to be the inclusion of features like tidal graph and...

Extremely rugged phone and has features like thermometer, astro calendar, sunset/sunrise application and digital compass

Low on music quality, call quality is bad

Casio G'zOne Rock is shockproof, dustproof, weatherproof which is its main selling point. Buy it if the three features are important for you but we think that the phone is a bit low on features that advanced users might like.
