Acer Liquid review

The PC purveyor's first Android attempt has landed. But can it mix it with the hottest new Google phones on the block?

An impressive battery life and fast browser can’t stop the Liquid from being drowned out by its Android rivals

Acer Liquid review

A well-built phone with a fast processor and good battery life, but as it's based on Android 1.6 and lacks social aggregation software, it just misses out on an award.

Acer Liquid review

It’s a long step forward from the Acer S200 neoTouch – but the Liquid trails behind slightly more polished examples of Android, such as Google’s own Nexus One. Which in turn means the Acer Liquid is a some way behind the iPhone in sheer usability. It...

Acer - Liquid

Acer's first handset to run the Android operating system is an interesting smartphone. There is a lot to like about it but, as ever, a few things let the side down. The Liquid has a ...

There are no 'wow' factors or must-have features to be found in the Acer Liquid and some people may feel the build quality is a bit lacking. But there are some nice plus points which include a good screen and a solid set of core features.

An Android phone, with all the speed and fluidity that the name

We like the speed and power, the display makes web browsing a pleasure and the Facebook integration works well

The slow and unresponsive keyboard is just annoying, and there is a distinct lack of preloaded apps and widgets

It’s not the best Android phone around by a long shot, but it's still an Android phone, with all the speed and fluidity that suggests.
