Acer F900 HD review

Acer has targeted the touchscreen mobile big-boys with this smartphone

Nice screen ; Feature-packed

Finicky OS and media playback

Not a bad phone at all, but rivals do a lot of things better

Acer Tempo F900

Acer's F900 WinMo smartphone looks good on paper, but how does its real world performance stack up?

Acer F900 review

Global PC vendor Acer made its first move into the smartphones market at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last month and we had a chance to sit down and try out a few of the new devices in Taipei.

Overall the Acer F900 is a very nice smartphone and certainly a good first effort for Acer.

Acer F900 review

Introduction With the takeover of Eten by Acer, lots of new phones are hitting the market with a wide range of 'Tempo' branded handsets from Acer suddenly becoming available. Acer also recently launched the powerful Acer neoTouch which...

Nice looking device ; Comes with good features for the price ; Good price ; Camera with flash and autofocus ; Nice GUI ; 3.8” Screen ; Wi-Fi, GPS and HSDPA

Battery life seems worse than advertised ; Screen a little too shiny ; 128MB memory should be more ; Sluggish at times

Acer F900 – Windows Mobile smartphone review

Acer launched a whole collection of Tempo branded smartphones at Mobile World Congress in February and now the devices are trickling into UK retailers as SIM-free only options.

The Acer F900 is a good-looking handset. But, while the screen and specs are good, a capacitance screen is missed, and the Acer Shell won’t cut it for serious users. As such, while it is reasonable value, it doesn’t offer quite enough to set it apart...

Acer F900 review

We review the Acer F900, a fully-featured Windows Mobile touchscreen device

Good large screen ; GPS and Wi-Fi

No front camera ; MiniUSB headset slot ; Slightly unresponsive touch-screen

A large-screened Windows Mobile smartphone with plenty of features but nothing outstanding going on

Acer Tempo F900 Windows Mobile smartphone

A decent handset marred by a memory hungry graphical UI and the lack of a decent media player to optimise viewing on its rather fine 3.8in screen. Fair value though.

If cost was not an option and we had to choose between the F900 and HTC's HD we would have to pick the latter. It's better looking, the screen is more reactive and the OS runs faster due to it having more available system memory. That's not to say the...

Dressed to the Nines - the ACER F900 Windows Mobile Phone

Will we ever be able to write another touchscreen phone review without mentioning the iPhone? Its phenomenal success and near-iconic status have sent the manufacturers of phones using the more "venerable" operating systems, such as Windows Mobile and...

Elegant design ; Large, sharp and vibrant screen ; Very good speakerphone

128 MB of RAM isn't sufficient for such an advanced device ; Screen isn't as touch sensitive as many competitors ; Acer Shell touch interface lacks the pizazz and depth of HTC's TouchFlo
