Sky Q

When Sky rolled out the Sky+ HD box at its last major hardware launch, most of us were still using dumb phones with physical keypads. The PS3 hadn't launched – and, more importantly, Netflix was still mailing out DVDs.

Sky Q review

What Hi-Fi? Awards 2023 winner. A bit old-fashioned in some ways, but Sky Q still trumps the newer Sky Stream overall

Great content, with plenty of 4K ; Impressive picture and sound ; Multi-room TV works well

Expensive ; Requires a dish ; Touchpad remote can be fiddly

While Sky Q now looks a bit outdated next to Sky Stream, for some buyers it will still be the better option

Sky Q review: supreme viewing, even if it doesn't have Ultra HD yet

Sky's top-of-the-range service is here and T3.com has now had time with it in one of our own homes.

Multi-screen as it should be ; Slick and easy-to-use ; Resume from anywhere

No Ultra HD yet ; Poor app choice ; Expensive

Sky Q: The evolution of television? - Pocket-lint

Sky has announced that it is overhauling its offering in the home, creating a new premium tier service to entice movie, sport and TV viewers to an all-new

As a Sky customer there is lots to like about the new Sky Q system. Even if not, it is likely to turn your head when you are looking for a new TV service to subscribe to.

Sky Q review

The best version of TV there's ever been? Almost certainly. We cast our eyes over the many televisual riches of Sky Q

Slick new interface ; Fluid Viewing works brilliantly ; Nice new remote ; 4K looks great u2013 especially movies

Expensive ; Remote can be a little over-sensitive ; Prone to the odd crash

Undoubtedly the best TV experience you can get, but only true telly addicts and early adopters need to dive in right now

Sky Q review: The all-streaming, all-dancing 4K-ready pay TV system

Sky Q has been a long time coming. We review the eagerly awaited Sky Q ahead of the pay TV giant's launch of 4K Ultra HD TV channels later this year.

Fluid menus with logical layouts ; Smart, touch-sensitive controller ; Watch content anywhere with My Q, Fluid Viewing and Sky Go ; Silver box ready to receive 4K channels

It’s not cheap ; WiFi booster feature unavailable to non-Sky Broadband folks ; You don’t get to keep the hardware post-contract ; Not all promised features available from launch

Sky Q review: The best premium TV system in the UK now comes with Prime Video

Sky Q is an impressive achievement and it's made even better with the inclusion of Prime Video

Record up to six channels and watch a seventh ; Full system extends your Wi-Fi ; Responsive, attractive UI

Sometimes crashes ; Touch remote is over-sensitive

If you don't like Sky's mix of content or aren't that fussed about 4K, then Sky Q isn't going to change your mind about signing up and you may be better off with a Now TV subscription for those times you want to watch something on Sky.
