Sony Vaio VGN-NW270F/S review: Sony Vaio VGN-NW270F/S

Sony Vaio VGN-NW270F/S

Low price; Blu-ray drive; roomy display but still relatively lightweight; great keyboard.

Seems to be room for a bigger battery; no media control buttons.

The Sony Vaio VGN-NW270F/S is a low-cost, Blu-ray-equipped laptop that makes a great choice for home use and, should you be willing to tote around a 15-inch machine, a decent choice as your everyday, take-it-with-you laptop.

Sony VAIO VGN-NW270F/S

With its unique yet functional design and Blu-ray player, the Sony VAIO VFN-NW270F/S is an affordable entertainment laptop that pulls double duty as a workhorse machine.

Blu-ray player in an $800 system. Big, wide display. Unique design. Comfortable Keyboard and touchpad.

Merely average battery life. Display falls short of 1080p resolution. Lid and screen are a bit too flexible. Low-resolution Webcam.

Sony VAIO NW270F/S 15.5″ Notebook

Great product but very poor audio quality, in particular if used in conjunction with Skype. The audio doesn't have an options to be optimized via EQ for voice communication or audio playback.

Disenchanted

I'm disappointed because this laptop suits my needs and after paying almost $800, I expected it to last longer than a little of two years. I won't be buying Vaio again.

Love the track pad and has great features.

Speakers too low, battery life is horrible, and the plastic frame is made so cheap that after barely two years of use, it started to crack and has gotten worse
