MacBook Air 13in

The 2011 MacBook Air proves that while a beauty and power combo isn't cheap, it sure is nice.

Beautiful ; Quick and powerful ; Great screen ; Flexible, fast Thunderbolt connectivity ; Excellent build quality

Expensive ; Limited connectivity without adapters

MacBook Air with nVidia 9400M and 128GB SSD

Eminently desirable, undeniably compromised.

. Not only are Sony's ultra-portables more portable - thank's to their smaller chassis - than the Air, but ever since the T2XP they've also come with built-in disc drives; not to mention that they provide many hours more battery life than any other...

Apple MacBook Air 2011 review

Apple's new Macbook Air laptop boasts, amongst other things, improved Intel processors, a myriad of new features, Thunderbolt, which supports high-resolution displays, and Apple's new desktop operating system OS X Lion - but is that enough in this day...

The MacBook Air was originally released as a secondary Mac, that was convenient to carry around and an excellent supplement to your main desktop Mac. Over the years it has grown in power until today, it’s more than powerful enough to use as your main...

Apple MacBook Air 13in (Mid-2011) 1.8GHz Core i7 review

Where the 11in Air tested here is the most basic and affordable, this 13in ultraportable is the best money can buy.

The most expensive of the thin and light laptops we've tested recently, the 13in Apple MacBook Air will set you back the best part of a grand and a half. This makes it a sizeable investment, but one you're unlikely to regret – the build quality is...

Apple MacBook Air 13-inch Summer 2011 review

As with most Apple products, the MacBook Air has moved into an annual update cycle, taking it from the original niche product version to its new perch as Apple's mainstream laptop line. With that, we've also seen a continued mainstreaming of the...

The 13-inch MacBook Air has been updated with the latest Intel CPUs for better performance and battery life. Backlit keyboards make a welcome return.

The 128GB SSD drive is a lot smaller than a standard hard drive. This also starts at $100 more than the 13-inch MacBook Pro.

The latest version of the 13-inch MacBook Air vastly outperforms its predecessor, and can finally be called suitable for mainstream use, instead of relegated as a niche product.

Apple MacBook Air 13-inch 2011 review

Apple's MacBook Air divided opinion when it launched in 2008 . Some were charmed by the machine's razor-thin design and light weight. Others were repulsed by its high price and merely average performance.

Beautifully slim design; sturdy unibody chassis; greatly improved performance.

Expensive; very few ports.

Apple's new 13-inch MacBook Air offers the same super-slim and sturdy design as its predecessor, but packs in a more powerful processor. It's a fantastic choice for the super-wealthy traveller.
