Solid performance and excellent battery life make this a winner for students

Excellent, if a little dark, Full HD display ; Above your average Chromebook for performance ; Decent battery life ; A better value buy than most Chromebooks

Unlit keyboard flexes in the middle and feels cheap ; Only really good for writing, email, Netflix, iPlayer

Bringing a good Full HD screen and solid performance to the table, along with decent battery life, the Acer Chromebook R13 will happily suffice for students and those needing a device for basic day to day tasks.

Acer Chromebook R13 review

The Acer Chromebook R13 is a little expensive for a Chromebook, starting at $400 (converts to about £320, AU$525), but it's perfectly priced for all the features it offers.

The Acer Chromebook R13 has a long-lasting battery and a variety of ports. Its 360-degree hinge allows it to be used as a tablet.

It's heavy. The Chrome OS is limited in what it can do. Its keyboard isn't backlit.

The Acer Chromebook R13 is a capable Chromebook that won't break the bank, but if your needs are simple there are many other, more affordable laptops worth scoping out.

Acer Chromebook R13 review: This could be your next Chromebook

Acer has added to their stable of Chromebooks with the Acer Chromebook R13. This full review will take a look at this 13.3" touchscreen Chromebook.

The design is really sleek and nice. The screen is clear and colors are close to being accurate. Pricing options are great for someone who may not want to spend x amount of money on something more.

When the volume is under around 30% you can't hear anything playing.

Chromebooks are for those that don’t really want much in a laptop and want it on a budget and the Acer Chromebook R13 does just that. For a starting price of $399.99 with great specs, you really can’t go wrong with putting this Chromebook on your list....
