Bought it with an upgrade 2RAM in Subang Jaya for RM1,420. I like the sleek red, while the blue and black looks horrible. Would settle for my HP mini 1109TU due to superior specs, value-buy and great keyboard.

Acer Aspire One D250 with Android

By Anthony Dhanendran (computeractive.co.uk)

The Google operating system arrives on laptops

Good looking; lots of storage space; Android operating system loads quickly

No touchscreen; Android doesn't really add anything

Having the Android operating system doesn't add much to what's already a decent computer, except for increasing the price

Acer Aspire One D250 Android review

By Rory Reid (cnet.co.uk)

By including the Android OS, Acer intended to give users of the Aspire One D250 Android faster access to everyday computing applications. While it boots quickly though, the presence of Android soon causes more problems than it solves

Attractive red chassis ; Good battery life

Android is very basic and really gets in the way ; Fiddly keyboard

Conclusion The Acer Aspire One D250 Android is a pretty decent netbook, but we're not sure its Android OS contributes very much. It'll let you surf the Web quickly, but, if you fancy doing anything else, you'll need to fire up Windows XP. After a...

Ultimately, we think its inclusion is something of a gimmick, but, as the D250 isn't a bad device, it's one we can ultimately forgive

Acer has sliced a layer off the bottom of its D150 to make its thinnest netbook yet. But can it see off netbook rivals from Samsung et al?

Acer Aspire One D250 review

By Scott Stein (cnet.co.uk)

The Acer Aspire One D250 fixes some of the flaws of its predecessor, the D150, offering a slimmer, lighter design and much-improved touchpad buttons. But, while it's by no means a bad netbook, it doesn't offer anything that really makes it stand out...

Slimmer design and better touchpad buttons than its predecessor, the D150

Weak speakers ; Mediocre battery life ; Small keyboard

That's less time than average -- the three-cell battery in the 110 lasted for about 30 minutes longer. While that doesn't leave much time for mobile work without an outlet, keep in mind that our battery drain test is especially gruelling, so you can...

With the same hardware components as the Aspire One AOD150 but in a new slimmer chassis, we were glad that Acer did not put a premium on this Netbook.

ACER ASPIRE ONE D250 - a nightmare

By scampbell (alaTest.com)

I purchased this notebook in Singapore trusting in ACER's supposed reputation and international warranty against problems I never expected. My inital excitement with this tiny and portal product bought Sept 09 for use in work in developing countries has turned to total frustration - and been a huge waste of money. Within a day it was clear the computer performed erratically when using gmail / internet-based email (keystrokes can take up to 6 seconds to be laid onto the screen, many are missing so that the words and messages are unreadable). Problem seems to be when Skype is loaded at the same time as gmail/internet based email system. It's been sent to the ACER technical service division in Sydney twice - several weeks for each trip by the time it was returned - and after a day loading programmes again by internet, still the same. I've restored defailt settings and reloaded programmes 7 times - a lengthy process with no disc drive - no change. The quality of ACER technical service is appalling and their Customer Service division is as bad or worse - taking days to even respond. The final result is that a new computer which has never worked properly and the company has not successfully repaired and will not replace. ACER does not provide any means to take complaints to a higher level, has taken days to respond to requests for support, and is unresponsive to requests to speak to any manager to have the problem resolved. Perhaps I was unlucky with this particular faulty item, or perhaps the model has an inherent fault, but it has cost me dearly .. I've had to hire computers for work internationally and still have a costly dud on my hands 6 months into the warranty with no hope in sight of having it resolved. This has been my first experience with ACER and I would advise anyone who needs a reliable computer to steer clear of the company and this product
