Acer Aspire One D250 Android notebook

The Acer Aspire One D250 takes a standard netbook spec machine and adds the Android operating system into the mix. You get an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB RAM and a 250GB hard drive, and Android deployed in the same way that Asus and Sony (to...

Bright screen, good keyboard, lightweight

Android addition is pretty pointless for most users

Overall Android is an interesting addition, but not one that is very compelling. With the browser not returning a solid performance, we'd be tempted just to let Windows 7 boot, in which case you can ignore this edition of the netbook altogether.

Acer Aspire One D250 review

Google Android pre-installed on an Acer Aspire One D250, Acer's entry-level 10in netbook. We saw two samples of this Androided D250, the first with Windows XP; the second supplied with Windows 7 Starter, in Italian.

This new version of the Acer Aspire One D250 with Windows 7 and Android is around £280 – or you can find the first Windows XP version for £199. Put kindly, we’d say that Acer's Android-on-a-netbook project is work in progress right now, with so little...

Acer Aspire One D250

The inclusion of Android is ultimately disappointing, and otherwise the D250 is just another netbook.

Acer Aspire One D250 review

The electronic ink had barely gone cold on our review of the Aspire D150 when Acer sent us a new version that looks startingly similar. The D250 has the same rich and colourful 10in screen, the same dashes of bright plastic on the hinges and the same...

Acer has sliced a layer off the bottom of its D150 to make its thinnest netbook yet. But can it see off netbook rivals from Samsung et al?

Incredible value for such a slim design, but we wished it could have squeezed in a better battery

Acer Aspire one D250 review

The D250 is the latest version of Acer's Aspire One. It's available in white, blue and black, and all three colour schemes are attractive. Build quality feels sturdy, although the display hinge felt a bit wobbly.

Acer Goes Android : Acer Aspire One D250

When is a laptop not a laptop? A general answer might be when it is a netbook while a more specific answer could be when it is an Aspire One.

Currently Acer has released six different versions of the Aspire One, starting with the Linux driven unit and followed up with Windows XP and the business targeted Pro model. This review is based on the Aspire One D250 product that includes the...

Acer Aspire One D250

The Acer Aspire One D250 is a netbook running the Google Android operating system. But it's very much a supplement to Windows rather than as an environment you could live and work in.

This new version of the Acer Aspire One D250 with Windows 7 and Android is around £280 – or you can find the first Windows XP version for £199. Put kindly, we’d say that Acer's Android-on-a-netbook project is work in progress right now, with so little...

You won't be using Android much, but it's great to have the option there for quick booting
