Acer Aspire 8935G notebook

Acer's Aspire 8935G is the latest model from the company's multimedia range, offering a great mix of power and features at an impressive price. If you're on the lookout for a media centre laptop, then the Acer is well worth a shot. The screen matches...

The screen, the features, the performance: a great all-round machine

It's big: don't plan on carrying it further than the next room

If you're on the lookout for a media centre laptop, then the Acer is well worth a shot. The screen matches the very best on the market, and the rest of the laptop also stands up well under scrutiny. With a powerful graphics card, decent quality, loads...

This is very new notebook (well desktop replacement) from Acer. It has almost everything you might want in a single unit. The 18.4 inch screen means you do not need to skimp of image size and you even have a Blu-ray drive inside.

I was just coming to the end of my review when Windows did yet more updates and these included Internet Explorer 8. All seemed to go well and after the reboot no error messages but IE 8 refuses to load.

Acer Aspire 8935G - HardwareZone.com

When we last saw the Acer Aspire 8930G last year, we were pretty impressed by the mammoth 18.4-inch DTR. Making its return to our labs is the souped up Aspire 8935G and we go in-depth to find out what Acer has been cooking with this upgraded model.

Great 18.4" screen. Plenty of power and memory for my use. Blu-Ray. Fantastic illuminated open-key keyboard. After six weeks use I love this laptop. It replaces a HP that I've had for three years which proved more unreliable than I liked. I have always...

It's big and bulky. NO this is NOT really a gripe. It has an 18.4" screen so the weight and size has to go with the territory. If you are not prepared for lugging a bulky laptop don't buy this. My old HP had a 17" screen so I purchased a suitable...

A fast powerful and beautifully designed machine. I removed all traces of Microsoft and am running OpneSuse 11.2 Linux without any problems.

For the price point.....a very good buy. The graphics chip compensates for the core2 duo performance.

Hard disk capacity good but performance let down by spin speed. Screen large and bright but limited viewing angle. Battery performance as expected for 18.4" screen.

Like the styling and the actual operation of the machine - keyboard, etc. The performance isgood andoverall 'it does what it says on the can!'

None that I'vefound to date.

Acer Aspire 8935G-744G50Bn

Very well spec machine, plenty of RAM, huge hard drive and a blu-ray drive to boot.

Keyboard layout is utter rubbish. Whilst merrily typing away, you are forever turning the bluetooth on and off. The pg up/ pg dn/ end/ home/ ins/ del keys are placed along the top row, making them awkward. The screen is a let down, dark shades fade out...

As I only purchased this laptop a month ago it is to early to make a judgement on the product.
