Sony SRS-X77 review

The built-in battery and Bluetooth makes the SRS-X77 a seriously versatile multiroom speaker

Now that it's widely available for considerably less than its launch RRP of £259 (if you shop around you can find it for around £180), the SRS-X77 is a legitimate alternative to rival entry-level multiroom speakers from the likes of Sonos and Bose.

Sony's junior wireless multiroom speaker punches above its weight and provides a simple solution to multiroom audio streaming.

Impressively wide sound-stage ; Handles low bitrate material very well ; SongPal app is a breeze to use ; Easy multiroom setup

Some lack of flexibility with streaming apps ; Can sound harsh when placed on a hard surface

Great Sound Quality

Bought it a few weeks ago. Was great to use this by the pool at the hotel!! Only problem is the battery only lasts 3 hours! Not the 10 hours as stated.... Other than that.. it's still a good quality product!

Great speaker definitley would recomend

I bought this Sony speaker 3 days ago and it can do everything I want it to. You can connect it to WiFi to play music through Internet. It has excellent speaker and sound quality overall a 10/10

Great sound with both bass and treble very good for reggae music

Only negative is possibly the length of the battery time in portable mode and there is no reggae/dancehall option for which genre of music you listen to

Sony SRS-X77

The speaker has got great connectivity. They sound very good. I like the PlayPal app better than the Sonos one as you can use Spotify using their native client and setting the speaker up is no problem either.
