Samsung HT-BD1255 review

Samsung's 5.1 BD system has everything you need

Well-featured ; Decent sound and visuals from movies ; Good file compatibility

Audio set-up issues ; Disappointing music reproduction and photo playback

This system may not suit the ultra-demanding standards of the average videophile but will happily suit those after an affordable and well performing system

Samsung HT-BD1255 review

This system from Samsung looks the part and has some great plus points, although its price stands against it

Massive, three-dimensional delivery ; taut, musical, seamlessly-integrated subwoofer ; great looks ; very good pictures from DVD and Blu-ray

Comparatively weak centre speaker ; tallboy speakers feel flimsy ; a bit expensive

For spacious rooms and the style-conscious home cinema fan, the Samsung is well worth a look, but we wish that centre was better

It's a big system, this Samsung Blu-ray one-boxer. Does it deliver a huge performance, too?

For the style-conscious home-cinema fan, the Samsung’s well worth a look. But we wish that centre were better

Samsung HT-BD1255 review

The Samsung HT-BD1255 is a 5.1 surround sound home theatre system with an integrated Blu-ray disc player, an iPod dock, network connectivity and wireless rear speakers.

Samsung’s HT-BD1255 Blu-ray home theatre is a capable system with no crippling flaws. The LG HB954WA offers slightly better value, but this is still a stylish and powerful pre-built home theatre.

Samsung HT-BD1255 Blu-ray home theatre system

This all-in-one Blu-ray home theatre system possesses good audio quality

Good sound for a pre-built home theatre system, stylish, good iPod integration and features

Occasional sound sync problems with DVDs, slightly expensive

If you’re looking for a simple yet feature-filled system to accompany a new flat-screen television, Samsung’s home theatre in a box does the trick nicely.

Samsung HT-BD1255

Despite the rather plastic look and feel, this Samsung system offers plenty for the money and its audio and visual performance are both rather good for a HTIB system.

Excellent BD image quality ; Wireless PC streaming ; Performs with both movies and music

Lightweight speaker construction ; Wireless PC streaming requires additional dongle ; Subwoofer lets the speaker system down

Despite the rather plastic look and feel, this Samsung system offers plenty for the money and its audio and visual performance are both rather good for a HTIB system. It offers the latest in Blu-ray playback and fits in perfectly with the high gloss...

Samsung HT-BD1255

The Samsung HT-BD1255 is an all in one Home Theatre package that comes with the option of wireless rear speakers. It also has a rather swanky Blu-ray player included in the sales package making it perfect for those wanting to get into the 1080p scene...

All-in-one package, easy to Set Up, Included Blu-ray player, Rich sound. Excellent Blu-ray playback

Some vibrations in front speakers at maximum volume, DVD up scaling could have been better, Subwoofer not as powerful as others
