Q-waves Quicklink HD

Media streamers and internet connected TVs have provided consumers with some very capable ways in which to watch digital media and online video on the big screen, but it's surprising not to have seen a capable, generic solution to simply send audio and...

Audio streaming is flawless, standard definition and online video streaming works ok

Requires line of sight, relatively short range, struggles with 720p content and higher, potential resolution conflicts, relatively limited application

The Quicklink HD is one of the better wireless AV streamers around, but with such meagre efforts from the competition so far, that’s not saying much. We also think its claims of offering 1080p streaming are wide of the mark, and with gaming proving a...

Q-Waves Quicklink HD

Has the ongoing problem of expensive wireless HDMI finally been solved, or is this yet another near-miss?

Cheap, well designed hardware, good line of sight performance handles 1080p

Outdated software, streaming easily broken and better solutions on the way

Q-Waves Quicklink HD review

We've already tested out Intel's Wireless Display by using a Dell Inspiron 15R laptop with WiDi built in, and a Netgear Push 2 TV, but the experience left us frustrated. Not only was the connection unreliable, but you couldn't use your laptop for...

An expensive niche product, but it works well enough.

Q-waves - QuickLink HD

The spaghetti mess of wires that typically plagues a home technology setup is gradually fading away, and Q-waves has put its weight behind a generic solution to further address this problem: the QuickLink HD. What ...

The QuickLink HD is an interesting device, but an expensive one considering the limitations it places on the types of content it can stream flawlessly. If these less demanding environments are a priority it's worth a closer look, but we were expecting...
