Basic home theater in a box (HTIB)

The Onkyo HT-S3300 delivers sound for movies and music good enough to satisfy all but the most discriminating listeners at a very attractive price. While it doesn't have some of the popular features you'll find in more expensive systems, it...

Good sound for movies and audio, great value, 3D compatible, connectivity

No upscaling or conversion for analog video sources, no Blu-ray or DVD player, complicated set-up

Affordible Awesomeness

Hooked up my Media center, and 360 to it and was instantly impressed. watching DVDs on the 360 looked worlds better, even netflix looked great. The sound quality was surprisingly clear for and HTIB system.

First and For most is Cost, great sound for under $300 ; Upscaling/upconvert, 3 HDMI ports. 3D compatible (for those of you who care. Easy set up, the programmed listen modes are nice as well.. Great for Gaming

No Auto-calibration but for $300 bucks what do you want

Great stuff!

I just got my Onkyo s3300 last night and it was great ; It was very easy to set up and build very solid ; When I unboxing it, all speakers are well warped and no any damage. The wires have different colors and make me very easy to connect them in a...

No Ipod deck in the box like other Onkyo product ; No HDMI cable in the box, so u need to buy at least two cables for ur TV and game console. One for input and one for output

Awesome Introductory System

I had a moment when I couldn't get my Wii to show on screen, even though I was hearing the music through the receiver. I knew it had to be a user error, and something simple at that. I must have skipped a step in my excitedness to get the system out of...

Sleek system, Multitude of inputs, Nice customization options, On screen display, Easy to set up (I used the included manual- I figured it would save time to read the instructions beforehand), Low Price ; I was considering a soundbar, as the wife...

Hmm, I guess it would be the absence of upconverting analog (component) to digital (HDMI), meaning I have to run a component cord for my Wii out of the receiver to the TV, but that is some serious nitpicking. I mean, I wouldn't even complain about it,...

Disappointed

This system came perfectly packaged-no complaints about that. I hooked it up just as instructed and couldnt get a signal to my vizio blu-ray. Tried changing hdmi cables and switched cable ports around-nothing. Also found that when turning the volume up...

Easy to hook up

Flickered my Tv ; not compatible with my Vizio Blu-ray

Not as easy to setup as it seems

Got the unit and went to set it up and could not get a signal from my Blu Ray via HDMI. Tried all of the setup options, looked at the connection diagrams, and it still would not work. Finally got in touch with Tech Support for Onkyo, and had to make...

1. The unit has great sound and is great for a entry level system ; 2. Good sound for a small room

1. The setup is not as easy as it should be

Excellent value h.t.i.b. with caveat

Excellent sound quality considering the sub $300 price for a home theater in a box

HDMI will randomly drop out when connected to my Samsung Blu-ray player. Don't know if this is because of a weak signal from the Samsung or funkiness on the part of the Onkyo hdmi board. This made watching blu-rays on the Samsung through HDMI a less...

Awesome bang for the buck

HDMI pass-through is a bit tricky if you don't have an RIHD TV but is very much doable. * BE careful if you have a Samsung TV. Since Onkyo is not AnyNet+ compatible (Samsung's HDMI-CEC), if AnyNet+ is turned on on your TV, you may end up losing picture...

An all-in-one solution with great sound for the money. The receiver has a crazy amount of ports and is RIHD compatible for select brands of TVs

The rear speaker wires could be longer. Since I didn't use them and used my own cable, I can't take off an egg for that

love it! amazing sound for the price

i love it. i sounds better than my 7.1 samsung 3d surround that i have in my living room. i use this one in my video game room, and i love it. watched avatar, played killzone 2, bioshock, medal of honor, call of duty, final fantasy 13, and assasins...

easy to setup, lots of features, great sound. i love the subwoofer, and the sound is crystal clear. 3 hdmi inputs, 2 optical, component, coaxical. it has everything i need and more

my screen flickered twice. one time i was playing medal of honor, and when i got off the game the screen started flickering, and the second time when i put a blu ray on my ps3, but that was in the first week, and it hasn't done it again in 10 days...
