Don't bother

I should have realized that a system at this price range would suck.

It has an FM receiver and plays CD's as well as Movies

Sounds like vernacular for feces, when playing CDs, bass rattles. The equalizer is a joke, all you can do is select preset sound configurations ; This thing is supposed to have 1000 watts? Not much volume, and when at higher volumes the bass is too...
