Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC review

Has Sennheiser just pushed noise cancelling into the mainstream?

Great noise cancelling ; 20-hour battery ; Travel-friendly design ; Surprisingly affordable

NoiseGuard tricky to activate ; Headband lacks padding ; Ear-cups lack ventilation

The HD 4.50 BTNCs are significantly cheaper than noise-cancelling headphones from Bose and Sony designed for business travellers, while Sennhesier's NoiseGuard tech proves almost as effective. Thrown in a travel-friendly design and these wireless...

Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC review

Reasonable-sounding headphones, which at this price isn't quite enough

Decent noise-cancelling ; Smooth overall presentation ; Good body to the midrange

Balance skewed toward bottom end ; Timing and dynamics leave much to be desired ; Not the most detail ; Uncomfortable over time

Sennheiser’s HD 4.50 BTNCs aren’t awful, but they're not all that great. In this market, they don't stand out

Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC Wireless review

Not everybody can afford a premium wireless noise-canceling headphone, which is where Sennheiser's more budget-conscious HD 4.50 BTNC Wireless comes in. At $200 (£170, $AU329), it's not cheap, but it's less than what you'll pay for certain models from...

The Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC Wireless is wireless noise-canceling headphone with effective noise canceling that sounds great and costs significantly less than Bose's QuietComfort 35. It works well as a headset and offers decent battery life. The...

Not quite as comfortable as higher-end models from Bose, Sony and Sennheiser.

Sennheiser's HD 4.50 BTNC Wireless gets you most of what you want in a premium wireless noise-canceling headphone but costs significantly less.

The Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC headphones are big both in size and in features. With wireless Bluetooth connection and active noise cancelling, you should be able to enjoy your music in perfect comfort on the go. But how do these headphones actually...

Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC

The Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC headphones deliver a powerful Bluetooth audio experience and decent noise cancellation for the price, but some performance quirks hold them back.

Strong bass response matched with crisp, bright highs. Bluetooth functionality and active noise cancellation. Detachable cable for wired listening.

Noise cancellation affects audio performance. Can get uncomfortable over long listening sessions. Not for those seeking accurate sound signature.

It's hard to make a pair of Bluetooth headphones with quality noise cancellation for a reasonable price—we haven't found a winning pair yet. The Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC come close, but ultimately there are some quirks that stick out, like the noise...

Good...but

You hear your own footsteps when walking with the headphones on. The small bag for it is not very good quality. Apart from this it is a good product.

A solid purchase

Opted for these to replace the Lindy headphones which I bought a couple of days earlier but didn't get on with. Lightweight, simple to operate with minimal buttons on the outside, the sound quality is everything you would expect from the brand....

comfort , detail in treble and bass , simple to operate

no airline seat adapter , carry case could be better , audio lead is a bit fiddly
