My review is actually about the Sennheiser CX-300-II (which, exasperatingly, have not been reviewed here, yet *taps foot) - What HiFi gave these 5 stars - which is exactly what they deserve! It's really irratating when people boo-hoo these headphones...
Bass is superb. Bass, mids and treble are seperate functions. Cheap. Noise isolation is AMAZING
CNET reviewer didn't review them right. Sometimes noise from cable, when brushing against clothes, can be slightly irritating

Noise-isolating in-ear headphones
Solid sound quality ; significant isolation from outside sounds ; ultra-lightweight design ; three sizes of silicon ear tips to ensure a perfect fit ; all for around £30
Doesn't come with a travel pouch or any other accessories
If you're looking for an affordable, decent-sounding pair of earbuds, start with the Sennheiser CX 300. Sennheiser's first in-ear design sounds like a winner to us

Sennheiser's off to a good start, but the CX 300's sound is nowhere as clear and open as that of our favourite Shure and Etymotic models

The music player is the bringer of sweet mercy to the noise, filth and crowd-addled commuter. If a stressful journey on public transport is part of your daily routine, investing in a good set of earphones could make a real difference

There's no point spending £100 on a decent MP3 player and then dilutingthe sound quality with bog-standard earbuds. If you can stretch toanother £30, try these brilliant alternatives from Teutonic audiotitans Sennheiser, complete with cortex-pounding bass

The CX 300-II has an asymetrical cable system where the left earbud is passed around the back of your neck to keep the cables out the way
Superb value ; Great audio ; Light and comfortable
Soft cable and connector feel robust ; Slightly flabby bass and unrefined treble ; Asymmetrical cables
If you're on a budget but want to ditch the crappy Apple buds, we can't say it loudly or plainly enough: buy a set of Sennheiser CX 300-II
