Bose QuietComfort 25

The Bose QuietComfort 25 are active noise-cancellation headphones. Not only are they superb at eliminating the low-register noise that is the bedrock of any city soundscape, but they also cut out the frequencies that tend to trample all over your...

Higher-grade build than previous Bose sets ; Excellent noise cancellation ; Pleasant, big sound

Better sound quality available at the price ; Easy to leave on accidentally

The Bose QuietComfort 25 are great noise-cancelling headphones for taking the stress out of the city.

Bose QuietComfort 25 review

Headphones fit for a king

Full sound ; Stunning noise-cancellation ; Doesn't require battery for use

Color customization costs extra $100 ; Showing their age a little

They're showing their age now, but the Bose QuietComfort 25 offer a deluxe set of noise-cancelling headphones that delivers an unparalleled audio experience that's well worth the price of admission.

Bose QuietComfort 25 review: Noise-cancelling champions

If you're a frequent flyer then you've probably already heard about the Bose QuietComfort 25 headphones, otherwise known as the QC25. They're renowned for being lightweight, comfy for long periods of wear and offer killer noise-cancellation that can...

Lightweight construction, comfortable fit for long periods of wear, outstanding noise-cancellation (ideal for frequent long-haul flyers), carry case included (with double 3.5mm aeroplane jack)

Standard AAA battery (not rechargeable on-board battery), some noise-cancellation issues (doesn’t seem to like trains much), sound quality poor when battery depletes

The Bose QuietComfort 25 headphones are mighty impressive over-ear headphones. As noise-cancelling headphones go they're right up there among the best, delivering great sound quality from their comfy, lightweight build.

Bose QuietComfort 25 review: The best noise-canceling headphones get better

The creator of the first industry-standard noise-canceling headphones returns with an updated model.

Extra-comfortable design; clearer, more dynamic sound; highly effective noise-canceling circuitry that's been slightly improved; new folding design allows the headphones to fit in a smaller carrying case; if the battery dies, the music now doesn't die;...

Fairly pricey.

The QuietComfort 25 model takes Bose's already stellar noise-canceling headphones and levels them up to new heights.

These headphones may be on the slightly pricier side, but they provide great quality sound, good noise isolation, both active and passive, and the slight touches such as the included carry case mean that they can easily fit in your bag whenever you are...

Bose QuietComfort 25

Bose's QuietComfort 25 over-ear headphones feature excellent noise cancellation and a sculpted, powerful audio performance.

Powerful lows and crisp, bright highs with no distortion at top volumes. Exceedingly comfortable. Best noise-cancellation technology available. Can be used as passive headphones without power.

Runs on a AAA battery rather than a built-in, rechargeable option. Sculpted sound signature is not for purists. No auto-off function.

At $300, the Bose QuietComfort 25 is still a noise-canceling headphone pair first and a music lover's headphone pair second. But Bose introduces new improvements (like passive listening mode) with every model that keep QuietComfort on top of the noise...
