Bose AE2W

Super-comfy wireless headphones from Bose

Decent sound quality ; Comfortable

Ugly, large Bluetooth housing ; Slightly expensive

They look a bit odd thanks to their chunky Bluetooth module, but these comfortable, good-sounding Bose AE2W headphones are worth considering if you’re out for a pair of wireless cans.

Bose AE2w review

They trump their rivals in terms of comfort, and deliver a detailed sound. But they struggle to stay poised in the higher and lower frequencies

Immersive vocals ; Open and detailed sound ; Light and comfortable ; Can connect to two devices simultaneously ; Good at blocking external noise

Slightly hard in the treble ; Bass isn’t as tight as we’d like ; Distortion at higher volumes ; Leak some sound

They trump their rivals in terms of comfort, and deliver a detailed, spacious sound. But the AE2ws struggle to stay poised in the higher and lower frequencies

Bose AE2w review

Bose dips its toe into the Bluetooth headphones pool. Come on in, the water's lovely

Great sound ; Brilliantly comfortable

Wireless element sticks out

We don't like the lumpy receiver but the sound is smooth as silk

Bose SoundLink Around-Ear Bluetooth Headphones (formerly Bose AE2w) review

Bose has been surprisingly low-key about its first Bluetooth headphones, the AE2w. I'm not sure why that is, but the company didn't announce the AE2w headphones to the press when they were first launched and it hasn't been promoting them as much as its...

The Bose SoundLink Around-Ear Bluetooth Headphones offer very good sound for Bluetooth, and they're arguably the most comfortable over-the-ear Bluetooth model. The control module is also well designed, with well-placed buttons that can be operated...

Pretty pricey; protruding Bluetooth module looks a little strange; volume may not be loud enough for some people, depending on device used and type of file played.

Despite a few question marks and a high price, the Bose SoundLink Around-Ear Bluetooth Headphones are a very good-sounding Bluetooth pair that's lightweight and very comfortable to wear.

Bose AE2w

Bose has long set the benchmark in portable sound. The AE2w maintains that tradition.

Comfortable

Unintuitive controls

Although the Bose AE2w headphones aren’t cheap, the comfort and sound quality are very high value.
