Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro review

Recording studio pedigree, at a price

Beautifully crafted soundscape ; Sleek design ; Good price for the quality ; Work with portable players

They're a bit bulky

Beyerdynamic's DT 1770 Pros are everything a pair of entry-level audiophile headphones should be. The width of that sound stage, particularly for a pair of closed-back headphones, is exceptional. They're a little bulky, but don't let that put you off.

Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro headphones feel and sound like a contender for the price

Made in Germany, high-in-comfort, with a big, warm, yet high-resolution sound, the Audiophiliac finds a lot to like about Beyerdynamic's new DT 1770 Pro headphones.

Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro

The expensive Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro is a wonderful headphone pair for musicians and engineers seeking an accurate frequency response in critical listening scenarios.

Can get a tad uncomfortable over very long listening sessions. Expensive.

Performance and Conclusions Like all excellent studio headphones, the DT 1770 Pro walks the fine line between pure flat response and slight boosting in certain frequency ranges to allow for clarity, richness, and depth. On tracks with powerful...

Reference/Studio tuned headphones with luxury aesthetics. An excellent closed back by Beyerdynamic!

I do like this headphone quite a bit although I'll be the first to say that I have a soft spot for Beyer phones being my first taste of the audiophile world. This is a review of a self-purchased unit; they've gone on sale here and there but like any...

Looks, clarity, details, slight bass boost, ultra comfort, can be forgiving to bad recordings, German build, 2 cables and 2 pads included

Pricey MSRP, 3-pin cable/connector only (no balanced option without mods), a bit large for portable use
