Beats Studio 3 Wireless review: Smart sounding, ultra long-lasting headphones

The Beats Studio 3 Wireless might not suit the audiophile, but for everyone else, they're very easy to recommend. Especially iPhone users.

Ridiculously long battery life ; Very enjoyable sound quality and comfortable design ; Great ease-of-use for Apple users thanks to W1 chip ; Lots of bass

Pauses music when notifications come through on Apple Watch ; Plastic design might not suit everyone ; Lots of bass

The Beats Studio 3 Wireless might not suit the audiophile, but for everyone else these over-ear cans are very easy to recommend. Especially for iPhone users, thanks to the W1 chip's easy pairing and cross-device ease of use.

Beats Studio3 Wireless review: A worthy Bose QuietComfort 35 contender?

Beats' Studio 3 Wireless are easy to pair with Apple devices, but other headphones offer superior sound quality

Seamless Bluetooth pairing ; Long-lasting battery life ; Excellent build quality

Noise cancellation isn't as effective as the QuietComfort 35's ; Sound quality could be better, for the price

For everyone else, the decision is pretty easy. Go for the Bose QuietComfort 35: they sound better and deliver more effective noise cancellation.

Beats Studio3 Wireless review

When you've got a good thing going, why rock the boat?

The Beats Studio3 Wireless offers improved sound quality, noise canceling and battery life from its predecessor in the same sturdy design. Apple's W1 chip makes pairing with Apple devices dead simple. Performs well as a headset for making cell-phone...

Design is the same as previous model's. Does not fold flat and carrying case is somewhat bulky.

Beats has taken a very good wireless noise-canceling headphone and significantly increased its performance.

Beats Studio3 Wireless review

Amazing active noise cancelling, same stand-out styling

Excellent noise cancelling ; Incredible battery life ; Apple users get great connectivity

The best tech reserved for Apple devices ; Not booming, but still bassy ; Bold looks not to all tastes

Improved noise cancelling makes this the best pair of over-ear cans for iPhone owners - and they’re pretty damn good for the rest of us too

Beats Studio3 Wireless review: A Bose QuietComfort 35 killer?

A perfectly decent pair of wireless, noise-cancelling headphones, but they're not the best you can buy

So there are good things and there are not so good things about the Beats Solo3 Wireless. On the positive side, they’re great for iPhone and MacBook owners. I simply cannot overstate enough how much of a difference to pairing and reconnection the W1...

Beats Studio3 headphones kill the noise and turn on the music

What's the price of awesome audio?

Amazing noise-cancelling technology ; Great battery Life ; Very comfortable

No gesture controls ; Pricey

The Beats Studio3 headphones are one of the best Bluetooth wireless models we’ve ever tested.

Beats Studio3 Wireless review: Eliminating the noise

Beats, the Apple-owned lineup of audio hardware, has produced what might be their finest headphones to date. The Studio3 Wireless are (as you may have guessed by now) wireless, have noice cancellation and the Beats styling and sound profile many have...

Pure ANC cleans up noises very well ; W1 made pairing experience easy for iOS users ; Fast-charging

Short battery life with Pure ANC enabled ; Still uses Micro-USB

Two years ago, the argument for and against Beats was cultural. It was more status symbol than really solid headphone. Athletes, celebrities and neighborhood show-offs draped them around their necks like jewelry. To many, the sound they produced paled...

Beats Studio 3 Wireless review: great for Apple users, mediocre for everyone else

The Beats Studio 3 are the most prominent example to date of a pair of headphones that is dependent on the ecosystem it's in to perform at its best.

Satisfying bass thump ; Collapsible design ; Comfortable, cozy pads ; Flawless operation with Apple devices

Battery life and Bluetooth suffer when not connected to Apple devices ; Sound lacks refinement, vocals lack fullness ; Competitors in same price bracket have more premium build ; MicroUSB is an anachronism, especially in Apple ecosystem

If you happen to use an Android phone or a bunch of Windows PCs, the proposition becomes much trickier. Beats wins on practically none of the major parameters of comfort, design, or performance. It’s decent in all, but without the W1 augmentation, it’s...
