Bowers & Wilkins PX review

Bowers & Wilkins rarely disappoints when it comes to headphones and it now offers wireless and noise cancelling. Here's our review of the PX headphones.

For its first attempt at noise cancelling headphones Bowers & Wilkins has done an amazing job. By incorporating elements of the outstanding P9 Signature headphones in a compact and portable design, the PX are the best sounding wireless headphones we’ve...

Bowers & Wilkins PX review: A stylish, understated alternative to Bose

Beautiful design, effective noise-cancelling, and an understated, relaxed sound – only comfort qualms hold the PX back

Gorgeous looks ; Adjustable noise-cancellation works well ; Balanced, natural sound

Headband is uncomfortable for long periods ; Treble is a tad soft

The PX delivers just that, and its combination of good sound quality, capable noise-cancelling circuitry and attractive design are marred only by those qualms about long-term comfort. Right now, I like the PX a great deal. If the comfort issues...

Bowers & Wilkins' first noise-cancelling headphones are the real deal.

Transparent, detailed sound ; Excellent dynamics ; Impeccable sense of timing ; Clever, intuitive features ; Impressive noise-cancelling ; Good battery life ; Fine build

Nothing significant

The PXs are a fantastic package, boasting excellent sound quality, successful noise-cancelling and a smart design

B&W PX headphones will let you enjoy music in total peace

Can headphones be wireless, nose-canceling, AND good?

Great sound ; Stellar noise cancellation ; Tons of features

Some dubious design choices ; Some bugs

The B&W PX headphones are pretty great, but the sound, the build and the features all have tiny kinks which may be dealbreakers for some.

Bowers & Wilkins PX

The Bowers & Wilkins PX wireless headphones are a rare misfire from the iconic audio company, with buggy operation and audio performance that changes when the noise cancellation is enabled.

Powerful audio performance with rich bass and crisp highs. Comfortable, stylish design. Cable included for wired use. Noise cancellation can be turned off. App allows for nuanced NC adjustments.

Expensive. Glitchy in testing. NC changes audio performance noticeably. Can't be used in wired passive mode—cable requires power.

Let's hope this is an early hiccup for the new team leading B&W. Since we tested two pairs, we're confident that we at least had an experience that will be similar to what customers will encounter, though it's possible we were sent two defective units....

A very credible option from B&W

Had mine for a few months now and still really enjoying them so thought it was time to post a review. The audio quality was average to good out of the box but after quite a few hours of listening it has got better and better and I would now consider it...

Look elsewhere

Bought these yesterday in-store and returned the same day. They're incredibly uncomfortable to wear as the ear pads only have a small amount of foam so they dig in under my ear. Sound is incredibly underwhelming too, the Beoplay H9s sound considerably...

Beautiful pair of headphones at a price

You are going to either love or hate these. I picked up a pair in the Milton Keynes store. I could not test the ones in store because it seemed no one knew how to make them work. I searched for the online manual and tried some of the functions...
