Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless

The Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless are simply the wireless edition of the P5 Series 2 headphones I reviewed earlier this year. With this added functionality, you can now stream wirelessly from your phone. In most other respects, however, the design is...

High-class style ; Rich sound ; Wireless

Some report connectivity complaints ; Thick sound limits separation ; On-cup buttons could be refined

Luxurious, good-sounding wireless headphones – but for the price there are better units available.

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Headphones

The B&W P5 headphones aren't cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for.

There's no escaping the old maxim of garbage in garbage out, but the Bowers & Wilkins P5 headphones make an iPod sound better than you have any right to expect, and for that they have to be applauded. However, they can only do so much with a...

Bowers and Wilkins P5 Wireless review

Stunning wireless audio...but with a connectivity catch

Fantastic sound quality ; aptX support ; Great battery life ; Easy to connect

Often flaky Bluetooth ; Cheap-feeling control buttons ; Pricey ; Can get uncomfortable when wearing glasses

The sound quality of these wireless headphones is excellent; rich, detailed and surprisingly powerful. But the P5 Wireless is let down by some flaky, frustrating Bluetooth connectivity problems.

B&W P5 Wireless review

Best wireless headphones £200-£300, Awards 2016. Bowers & Wilkins enters the Bluetooth headphone market. Do the B&W P5 Wireless cans have what it takes to compete?

Excellent sound ; Lovely design and build ; Easy Bluetooth operation

Nothing of note

The cord is cut but the quality remains. These are excellent Bluetooth headphones

B&W P5 review

Bowers & Wilkins have been rolling out the red carpet for our MP3s for quite some time. The B&W Zeppelin is a sex symbol of modern tech design, pumping out some of the best sound we've ever heard from an iPod dock.

B&W P5 review

Beautiful to look at, and, in the main, listen to as well, these B&W P5s are a sound investment for your iPod or MP3 player

Pretty and desirable ; speedy, vibrant sound with vocalists treated especially well

Top end can be provoked ; others sound more expansive

The P5s are wildly covetable items, and they make plenty of aural sense too

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless headphones review: Class without the cables

When Bowers & Wilkins released the T7 wireless Bluetooth speaker , its quality considering its portability was outstanding. It was also the first time the company had opted for that specific wire-free technology, having only dabbled with Apple AirPlay...

Beautifully designed for aesthetics and comfort, Bluetooth 3.0 aptX compatible, 17 hours of battery life per charge, audiophile standard performance

Pricey when compared to the wired P5 headphones and some competitors

The Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless headphones are, quite simply, among the best wire-free cans we've heard. That's why they come at a premium.

Bowers and Wilkins P5 headphones

Bowers & Wilkins struggle not to blow you away. From the most lust-worthy speakers, through to the design statement that is the Zeppelin iPod dock . The P5 step into the limelight knowing that audiophiles are going to be peering very closely at them....

Excellent design, outstanding sound quality, choice of cables, noise isolation

Cables might be a little thin, price

The B&W P5 aren't designed to be a reference grade headset for your home recording studio, which some might have expected: they are designed to be portable and for taking on the move, partnered with your iPod or iPhone. They fold flat and you get a bag...

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless review

The P5 Wireless is an incredibly classy pair of Bluetooth headphones with the signature Bowers & Wilkins sound

The P5 Wireless builds upon what made the P5 great and adds the convenience of not being tethered by a cable, which is something you really appreciate once it’s gone. They’re supremely well-built with a fantastic design and luxurious feel. You’ll just...

B&W P5 Wireless headphones review

Ditch the cables and get great sound from your phone, tablet or PC wirelessly

We said in our Series 2 review that some might find the £249 price a little hard to swallow, and it’s harder still to stump up £80 more for the removal of a cable. Yet, if you are specifically after wireless headphones, these are one of the best pairs...
