By a consumer (pixmania.co.uk) Read the full review

It is very simple to use and has really good features such as an mp3 player built in, maps are easy to view whilst driving and setup takes about 5 seconds. It is so slim and really good looking and the menu is simple when ur in a hurry. The gps can...

I found the setup really easy as i am new to sat navs and love the slim model, it fits in my pocket easily and the screen is easy to see

Touch screen isn't always responsive have to give it a few sharp taps before it clicks and it struggles to find a gps signal often

Navman S100 GPS receiver review

By Chris Hall (pocket-lint.com)

Satellite navigation devices have been enjoying something of a boom, offering greater features, much improved performance and all at a much more affordable price. But once you reach a point, you start to feel that things have become rather samey. Can...

Touch user interface, simplicity of use, encourages you to do more than just navigate, intuitive

A little expensive

The S100 is convincing in its desire to give you more than just navigation. Get to grips with all the features and take advantage of the NavPix community and the S100 becomes a much greater travel companion

When we met Charles Smith, senior product manager at Navman, it was clear that a new emphasis was being given over to using the S100 as a travel companion, not just an A to B navigator. This is something that Navman has invested in in the past – with...

Navman S100 review

By (expertreviews.co.uk)

Although satnavs get more sophisticated with every generation, they usually remain chunky, so Navman's S100 is an unusual development.

Navman S100

By James Morris (trustedreviews.com)

Can the new Navman give TomTom a run for its money?

The Navman S100 is a bold and innovative sat-nav in a number of areas. But it also still misses out on neat features now found on more than one competitor's products, in particular the ‘active dock', which integrates power and traffic connections into...

The Spirit interface looks very nice and follows the latest Apple-inspired trends. However, we found it quite finicky, and in some areas more difficult to use than Navman's previous, less trendy front end. When you're heading off in your car, the last...

Satnav head-to-head: Navman S100 vs TomTom Go 540 Live

By Will Stapley (reghardware.co.uk)

For those who are regularly behind the wheel, this is an excellent, feature-rich satnav.

Going purely on features, the TomTom Go 540 Live knocks the Navman S100 into a cocked hat. Sure, it’s more expensive and if you sign up to the Live updates you’ll be paying almost £100 a year, but given the vast chasm between the two in terms of...

Navman S100 GPS unit

By Ross Catanzariti (goodgearguide.com.au)

The entry-level GPS unit in Navman's S-Series Platinum range of in-car GPS units, the S100 lacks built-in traffic, FM transmission and Bluetooth, but ...

Design, user interface, large display, keyword search method, text-to-speech pronunciation, clear map screen

Touch-sensitive keys aren't always responsive, glide interface can be annoying to use while driving, traffic channel antenna optional extra

The Navman S100 GPS unit does lack many advanced features, like Bluetooth, FM transmission and built-in traffic capabilities, but it still provides an excellent navigational experience on the whole. This device is excellent value for money.
