Garmin has a reputation for solid, reliable gear because it's never shy of spending a few bucks on R&D, which has both its up and downs– the up side being, you get a great product, the down, it comes at a price.

Rugged, accurate, easy-to-use, good information

Pricey

Overall the Garmin Approach 3 will provide a subtle advantage and find a nice little niche for golfers who take what can be a very frustrating pastime a little bit more seriously than most.

Garmin Approach G3 Golf GPS Navigator

 

I just started using it, and the rechargable batteries NiMH 2500 lasted 18 with plenty to spare. I always take more, just in case. I like it. If it makes you feel good, thats all that counts. I recomend it. Enjoy!

Small enought to carry in pocket without it being uncomftable, so were ever you go, you know. Rechargables last the entire course

So far, I'am good. Nothings ever a 10, there is always improvements. But this is close

Your service was excellent, as was the price!

Love the layout, ease of use and accuracy

A little bulky. Belt attachment is not friendly and the device itself sometimes becomes unattached. I have found it's easier to just keep it in my pocket, even if it does stick out a little

Lots of coarses

The unit worked just fine and I use Nihid batterys that I change after a days use. Really helps for the iron shots

Had to down load the maps to up date my coarse which I thought was already in, the screen is a little light but works fine

This should be plenty for the average golfer. The G5 does not provide anything but a slightly larger screen for more money.

Very Good for the price. I paid about $120 Aus on special. 2xA4 batteries last 2 rounds so about 9 hours. I have found it to be more accurate than other non-Garmin brands used my golfing mates. I use Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries from supermarket....
