The only reason why I bought this GPS is because I didn't have to pay for the maps. If you plan on buying this device you NEED the TOPO 2008 maps among others to get the full functionality of this device. The base map that comes preprogrammed on this GPS...

This is one awesome GPS. I heard a lot of people online rip this GPS because they say it's hard to use or the text entry is too slow. That's B S and I'll tell you why. I have NEVER even touched a GPS before in my life and I mastered most of the Colorado's...

I do not like the fact that you have to set the back light to the brightness level you want every time you turn on this GPS.
