There are still a few months to wait for the Nintendo Switch, but Nintendo is filling the gap with this tiny grey box packed full of nostalgia, the NES Classic.

Although the NES Classic has some flaws - namely the ridiculously short controller cable - we can’t help but recommend getting one if you can find it in stock. This is little bundle of joy offers insanely good value for those who want to relive days...

The NES Classic is back, but is it still worth getting?

 

Nintendo's original 8-bit box is back for round 2.

The NES Classic is a miniaturized, faithful recreation of the original 1980s Nintendo home console. It includes 30 classic 8-bit games, perfectly preserved. It connects to any current TV with HDMI, and has multiple save slots available to freeze...

The one included controller isn't wireless, and the cord is really short. Many of the same games are coming to the Switch in September. The newer SNES Classic is arguably a better buy.

The NES Classic is a great self-contained mini console that plays 30 of the best NES games ever made -- but Switch owners will be able to play many of the same titles later this year.

The NES Classic Edition is a miniature Nintendo Entertainment System with 30 classic games, an HDMI output, and a fantastically nostalgic design.

Exudes old-school style. Games look excellent over HDMI. Controller feels authentic to the original. Inexpensive.

Controller cable is really short. Can't be expanded or updated in any way.
