Microsoft Xbox

Can Gates give Sony and Nintendo a run for their money?

Breathtaking graphics and sound make the Xbox a true next-generation games console. It's a shame that you have to pay extra for funtionality, though.

Microsoft Xbox

Powerful hardware, can play DVDs, offers online gaming capability.

Big and heavy, DVD play requires optional remote.

Impressive power, some notable hardware, and a growing list of games make the Xbox a good all-around gaming machine.

Microsoft Xbox

Introduction With a few exceptions, playing video games on a console has always been a more enjoyable experience than on a home computer. In the '80s, the simplicity of popping a game cartridge into an Atari 2600 or Intellivision and blasting aliens on...

Superb

Touch buttons (takes some getting used to). No HDMI cable (but that's standard). For XBL, search for deals with 12 months online and never buy direct from MS unless it's roughly have the normal rate. Last I paid was like $9/month. I got this on a deal...

Note: this is a review just for the Xbox 360S (I did not buy or receive a Kinect despite this page being for the bundle). Quiet, nice finish (matte black), legacy compatible (old HDDs), plenty of ports, Kinect-ready, Wireless-N compatible

Disk drive not very quiet, 4GB is limited, HDD is needed.

Skeptic at first

It may just be where I have my console located, but it seems like it runs a little on the warm side. Mine is housed in an entertainment center, behind glass, Wii on top of the console but not powered on at the same time, and the only real ventilation...

When Kinect first came out, my thoughts were "thats a dumb idea"....boy was I wrong! With the right games and if you're not a boring person, the Kinect is a fun piece of equipment to use! You might even find yourself playing games you wouldn't normally...

xbox live constantly signs out while watching netflix

There needs to be a legitimate way to backup owned games, when kids are playing, damaged disks seem to be a reality.

kinect sensor is cool small footprint

1. you CAN'T watch an entire movie or even many 1 hour episodes without the console signing you out of xbox live, you then have to re-sign in & go back to the movie, a real pain. 2. the apps require xbox live subscription 3. I have the one with the...
