Microsoft Xbox 360 Premium

The Xbox 360 has changed since its launch in 2005.

Sexy design ; It's quiet ; Built-in Wi-Fi ; Touch buttons ; Xbox Live

No HDMI cable in the box ; Uses disc tray ; Still mangles game discs ; External power brick ; No Blu-ray

In light of the recent software updates, the new Xbox 360 is probably the most complete and convenient box that you can stick under your telly. Not only does it play the latest video games, but it offers a huge amount of other content in one slickly...

Xbox 360 console review

Does the games console that promises the next evolution in gaming match up to the hype or should you wait another 6 months for the PlayStation 3? One week before the launch in the UK, we find out. Microsoft have realised that in a price obsessed world,...

Graphics, wireless controller, digital hub capabilities

Tad on the large side, huge power pack. Budget version won't give you what you need to really enjoy this

If you are in any doubt as to whether or not you should you try and bribe and beg to have one under the tree for this Christmas the answer is most definitely

Sod waiting for the PS3 ' this is a true gaming and media 360 degree revolution and it's here now

Xbox Live content is second to none. Easy to use. As games consoles go, it's a bit of a looker.

Hardware isn't awesome. Wi-Fi not built-in. No upscaling on DVDs.

The Xbox 360 deserves a medal for its stunning looks and superb content, but the hardware isn't amazing

It was way back in November 2001 that Microsoft put its money where its mouth was and launched the big black Xbox into the world. Spin on four years and the firm is gearing up for round two with the Xbox 360.

It's hard not to be impressed by the Xbox 360. With its high-def output, beautiful wireless controllers and amazing graphical prowess, it's a gamer's dream. Take into account all the additional functionality (Media Center Extender, Xbox Live Arcade,...

Microsoft Xbox 360 review

While it's missing a couple of potentially important features at launch, the Xbox 360 delivers the power and performance of a high-end gaming PC, including impressive digital media and networking features

All games in high-definition ; Excellent user-friendly Dashboard interface ; Built-in support for wireless controllers ; Excellent online gaming and communications via Xbox Live ; Backward compatible with many (but not all) original Xbox titles ;...

First wave of games is somewhat anaemic ; Noisy exhaust fan ; No built-in wireless networking ; Only three USB ports ; No support for next-gen HD movie discs ; No DVI or HDMI output ; Doesn't upscale DVDs to HD resolution ; Gigantic oversize power...

The exact opposite is true for the Xbox 360 -- the first wave of games have yet to tap into its full power. Rumour has it the early games are only using one of the system's three processing cores, for instance. As the months and years progress, it's a...

Xbox LIVE lets you take your gaming and entertainment experiences to a whole new level; play games online with friends, chat and share music, videos and photos with ease. The Xbox LIVE headset for Xbox 360 makes online multiplayer games even more...

Original Xbox Game Support lets you play a range of classic Xbox games titles on your Xbox 360. (Hard Disk Drive required, not all games are backward compatible).

Microsoft Xbox 360 2010

Gets sleeker, sexier and ready for Kinect with an idiotic pricing

Slimmer ; Touch sensitive buttons ; 250GB Hard Drive ; Kinect ready

Glossy ; Still heats up ; No UI changes

New Xbox 360 review: Worth the upgrade?

The new Xbox 360 looks lovely, there's no arguing with that, but if you own one already is there much point in upgrading? Read our Xbox 360 review: Worth the upgrade? And we'll spell out the pros and cons of jumping to Microsoft's smaller, quieter Xbox.

Finally an Xbox equipped for its duty as a media centre

No performance upgrades make this hard to recommend for existing Xbox owners

A worthy update for media fiends, but steer clear if you already have an Xbox at home
