Panasonic DMR-EA18K

Great Recording quality

I highly recommend this unit if you wish to record DVD's. If I had realized how good it was, I would have purchased months ago.

1) Outstanding recording quality ; 2) Flexible record option allows you to set your own user defined disc record length and video quality ; 3) Signal pass through on S-Video/audio when unit it off. Presumably on the other feeds as well, but I haven't...

1) No TV Tuner ; 2) Does not play PAL dvd's ; 3) somewhat technical interface that could give some people difficulty ; 4) a little slow at times ; None of these are a big deal, but might be useful info for somebody

Very good manual and website help if you run into trouble.

Excellent product! Upconversion for older DVD's and JPEG's make then look stunning. Recording quality is also excellent, especially in 2 hour or less recordings. HDMI cable highly recommended-it makes a big difference. If you can program a VCR, this...

Only complaint so far is very slow to power on. Other than that works great.

I highly recommend this unit.

This is an excellent recorder. It puts out stunning color. It is my first DVDR; I almost bought a competing unit for $50 less but noticed that it did not record a full picture in wide screen; plus, some reviewers reported so much trouble with its...

It takes a minute or two for the unit to come up ready to record. It has a fast wake-up mode that I turned off because others reported problems with it. Have a little patience and you will be rewarded
