Box delivered exactly on time unfortunately there was a fault on one of the satellite inputs. Contacted Comet absolutely brilliant service and they replaced the box immediately. Was able to install and set up in 5 minutes.

Manufacturer's Description

Because the recorder DMR-BS750 is equipped with two HD digital tuners, two different TV programs can be recorded simultaneously. There is no need to worry about missing out on recording a program when two programs overlap. In DR mode, the DMR-BS750 can record digital broadcasts in Full-HD picture quality. It can also stream-record and output the 5.1 channel surround sound signals (Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus) contained in HD broadcasts. When connected to a 5.1 channel digital amp, the...

Panasonic DMR-BS750 review

By Ian Morris (cnet.co.uk)

Award: Editor's Choice!

We've given this excellent machine a score of 9, but it comes with the obvious 'but', which is simply that it's far too expensive. £900 is more than enough to buy a £300 freesat PVR and a £200 Blu-ray player and still have pots of cash left over. Sure,...

It does everything ; The picture quality is superb ; It has more features than the Himalayas ; VieraCast is excellent and has loads of potential ; Cool design

Incredibly expensive ; Start-up time is a disgrace ; BD Live is painfully slow ; It's sometimes hard to know what button to press ; Copy protection is the work of Satan

If you're happy with paying the money though, we say go ahead and get one of these excellent machines. The picture quality is top-notch, it's a fully featured Blu-ray player and a terrific freesat DVR. If you want to record freesat but the £900 is too...

We'd also be happy to recommend any of Panasonic's Blu-ray players to go alongside it -- all are excellent

Panasonic DMR-BS750 Blu Ray Recorder

By (gadgetheaven.co.uk)

The Panasonic DMR-BS750 is the cheapest Blu Ray recorder and home media centre that Panasonic offer, although this does not mean that you will be able to pay for one with the spare change found down the back of your sofa. Its many advanced features...

HD Freesat PVRs

But what if you would like to record as well as view programmes? Sure, you can use an existing VCR or DVD recorder - but that's of little use as far as HDTV is concerned. A far better option is the hard-drive based PVR (personal video recorder), which...

When connected to a 5.1 channel digital amp, the DMR-BS750 lets users enjoy outstanding surround sound while watching a TV program or playing back a recording. It reproduces films with colors that are exceptionally faithful to the original. The combination of the Blu-ray Disc software encoding technology cultivated by the Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory (PHL) and the decoding technology accumulated by Panasonic has led to the development of the "PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus", a high quality image technology for faithfully reproducing film content. DMR-BS750 is compatible with the VIERA CAST function, which allows you to access YouTube, Picasa, and other various contents. YouTube lets you watch the newest video clips, and Picasa lets you view web-based photos. You can also check weather and stock information on other sites. After watching and listening with the compatible Blu-ray Disc recorders, the recorders automatically turn off when you return to the TV using the VIERA remote. 2009 VIERA TV Standby Power Save Blu-ray Disc recorders with Power Save function will turn on/off when TV is turned on/off.
