Leica M8.2 review

The Leica M8.2 is a welcome, if very pricey, upgrade to the M8, and makes excellent use of the legions of Leica M lenses in existence. While dSLRs may be more versatile overall, the M8.2 provides incomparable quality in the niche it occupies

Excellent picture quality ; Unparalleled build and finish ; Smallish size

Infrared sensitivity under (mainly) incandescent lighting ; Superfluous snapshot mode ; Very expensive

Leica M8

With the cost of DSLRs ever falling, is there a place in the market for a high-cost digital rangefinder?

This lacks the features and comfort we're accustomed to. The image quality is stunning, though

Leica M8 - Long Term Review

Leica's first digital rangefinder demands more than just a quick test... - 2/9/08
