Fujifilm FinePix X100 review

The Fujifilm FinePix X100 is no ordinary compact. Made for the high-end market, this retro-looking, magnesium alloy beast is built around a large 12.3-megapixel APS-C sized sensor and fixed 23mm F/2.0 lens (that's 35mm in equivalent terms). There's no...

Great image quality, unique design, great build quality, ingenious viewfinder

Not the fastest AF, some macro focus issues, expensive, not for the mass market

The Fujifilm FinePix X100 is a niche blend of a fixed 23mm (35mm) F/2.0 lens and large APS-C sensor. Its build quality is sublime and the pictures it can take are astounding. It’s a serious slice of retro chic in a modern age, but most certainly isn’t...

With its hybrid viewfinder and retro styling, is the Fuji X100 the ultimate enthusiast compact?

Suerb image quality in a range of conditions ; Excellent erformance at higher sensitivities ; Suerior craftsmanshi

A few oerational issues, such as loose menu ad dial and small menu button ; Quality design comes at a hefty rice

Fujifilm FinePix X100 - First Look review - Pocket-lint

Looks great, staggering viewfinder, nice big sensor. You'll be the bell of the ball, so long as it isn't the Leica Ball

If Fujifilm can finish the job off as well as it has started it, then we're looking at an affordable cult classic

Fujifilm FinePix X100 review

The Fujifilm FinePix X100 is a serious piece of photographic kit. Not only is it beautifully built, but it also offers excellent performance. Few concessions to beginners and a high price make it a specialist-only camera, though.

Astonishing performance ; Beautiful retro design ; Hybrid viewfinder ; High-quality construction

Fixed focal length ; Heavy ; Expensive

If you're looking for features like face recognition, pet detection and blink-proofing, the Fujifilm FinePix X100 isn't for you. Its appeal will also be limited by its high asking price, particularly given that a similarly priced dSLR or compact camera...

Fujifilm Finepix X100

At nearly £1,000, this compact camera is one of the most exclusive going. Can it possibly be worth the outlay?

Superb quality quality ; Exceptional image quality ; Versatile yet easy to use

Very expensive ; Fixed zoom lens ; Slightly fiddly controls

The Fujifilm X100 certainly isn't for everyone with its fixed lens, sizeable body and even more sizeable price tag. However, its rock-solid build quality, superb image quality - with exceptional low light performance - and more compact stance than an...

Wonderfully retro, but with performance that's right up there with today's best

The Fujifilm FinePix X100 is a very special camera indeed. It's a compact, but not as you know it.It looks like an old Leica rangefinder, has a lens that won't zoom no matter how much you fiddle with

Fujifilm FinePix X100 Review @ Photoxels

The Fujifilm X100 is a rangefinder-styled digital camera with drop-dead gorgeous retro looks. Under the hoods of this beautifully-designed digital camera, there is a quality 35mm [equiv.] F2 Fujinon lens, an APS-C CMOS sensor and an image processing...

REVIEW: Fujifilm Finepix X100

It may look like an analogue relic from a bygone age, but this latest snapper from Fujifilm is full to the brim with ground-breaking, class-leading digital tech that puts other compacts to shame. Is it enough to justify the Finepix X100's whopping...

Not quite as flexible as a DSLR, nor as user friendly as a standard compact, the Finepix X100 is a bit of an anomaly in the digital camera market. It's lovingly designed, and its hybrid viewfinder may well prove to be a sneak-peek at the future of...
