The main attraction of the Fuji Finepix S2000HD is its 15x optical zoom lens. It can also shoot HD quality movie footage. This 10 megapixel model scores well for ease of use despite having some more advanced features such as a manual exposure mode.

HD quality movies

No image stabilisation - the colours don't work for me

The Fuji Finepix S2000HD does not quite hit the high notes that some super zoom cameras manage to reach. In terms of features it is quite standard for this type of camera, although the HD movie mode may prove to be an attraction to many people.

After looking at a number of DSLRs to replace...

Easy-to-use from totally auto to totally manual. Good balance in the hand. Terrific value considering the range of options packed into this baby.

Non-standard USB connector. No support for 32Gb SDHC card. Setting some camera options is non-intuitive - RTFM first or you'll be frustrated.

Best cam for the rookie

It user friendly format. Lets face it I don't have time to read a 1000 page user guide. I think the quality of the pics are top notch for my home use.

The lens cap seems to fall off easily. The flash has to be manually activated (unless there is a setting that I dont know about---I told you I dont read user manuals)
