Still the Godfather of compact cameras, the Canon G10 is a worthy successor to the G9. A wideangle lens, accessible controls and a list of features as long as your arm put dSLR power in your pocket. The 14.7-megapixel snapper is chunky by anyone's st...
Wideangle lens; great image quality; accessible controls; good low-light performance
Some noise problems; not the fastest burst mode

The Canon Powershot G10 is probably the most advanced, compact, digital camera you will find. I like the way the controls are laid out and this puts a lot of the features you will use on a regular basis at your fingertips. Picture quality is spot on and t...
Picture quality - build quality - features - LCD screen - lay out of controls
Shutter delay times could be better
I am struggling to think of a more impressive compact digital camera than the Powershot G10. It is simply the best. Yes the price tag is high, but you pay for great picture quality, build quality and set of features.
The 14.7Mp Canon PowerShot G10 is a stylish-looking compact camera.

the G9 was very good, and this is better. I wouldn't say that the current difference in price warrants an upgrade, but for my use (which is mainly under water), and if you look for one of the deals currently out there, this is a great camera.
Crisp, sharp photos at normal ISO levels. The wider angled lens compared to the G9 is great for me, and the display and menu are much better than my previous Olympus.
Pictures are a bit noisy at 400 or above - but hey do people forget what 400 & 800 ASA film was like? The viewfinder is poor, but as I can't use it under water it worries me not!
I really like the Canon Powershot G10, just got it, it is smaller than I thought it would be, very nice LCD. My main concern is that the software does not work with my Macbook Pro and Adobe Lightroom does not support the CR2 raw image files it takes. Over...
Smallish, wide angel lens, good battery life, 3 inch LCD, 14.7 mp.
Only 5x zoom, software problems!
