Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ2000

The Panasonic FZ2000 is a bridge camera, but perhaps not in a form you'd expect. It's designed to be an all-in-one solution for those who don't want the hassle and expense of carrying around multiple different lenses.

Panasonic Lumix FZ2500 / FZ2000 review

Panasonic's superzoom smasher gets a makeover

Super-fast AF system ; Great image stabilisation system ; Excellent image and video quality

No weather sealing is a shame ; Almost double the price of the FZ1000 ; Lens not the longest nor brightest in class

It may not be perfect, but its well-rounded feature set and strong performance across many areas make the FZ2500 / FZ2000 a fine superzoom performer.

Panasonic Lumix FZ2000 review: Premium superzoom premier league

When we first saw the Panasonic FZ2000 back in September 2016, we thought it spelled the death of the camcorder as we know it. For this premium superzoom camera is so packed-out with 4K video features that, on paper, it wraps up all the wide-to-tele...

Internally focusing lens, great overall image quality, versatile physical controls, 4K and Full HD video capture beyond its competitors, 12fps burst mode (or 30fps at 8MP in 4K Photo mode), large OLED viewfinder and vari-angle LCD screen

Autofocus can be slower compared to Panasonic’s G-series compact system cameras, undeniably big and pricey, hit f/4.5 aperture by 250mm equivalent, top thumbwheel position, no physical aperture ring

The FZ2000 is certainly a big and pricey superzoom, but its premium position is justified for the right kind of user. And with its significant push towards video features, that will be for both photographers and videographers alike.

Panasonic FZ2000 review: Feature-packed, but the lens lets the side down

An upmarket bridge camera stuffed with advanced videography features, but the lens lets it down

Packed with advanced features for video ; Lots of physical controls ; Fast performance

Lens focus is a little soft ; A big investment for a single-lens camera

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ2500

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ2500 camera has true pro-grade video features, but its 20x lens doesn't perform consistently across its coverage range.

Quick autofocus. Solid high ISO images. Superb 4K video toolset. In-camera ND filter. Ample buffer. Solid ergonomics. Sharp EVF and vari-angle touch display. 1-inch sensor with 20x zoom lens. High-speed 4K Photo capture.

Disappointing lens. Pricey. Omits weather sealing.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ2500 is built on an absolutely fantastic idea. It has a strong video pedigree, an excellent image sensor, and a long-reaching lens, all in a package that's portable and less expensive than Sony's premium RX10 III. The...
