Amazing low power NAS/Firewall

Low power consumption. Off-the-shelf parts makes switching operating system easy. Superb value

low power and quiet

I run it as a file server, so having it on 24/7 would be terrible if this computer was loud or used massive amounts of electricity.

This computer is super quiet! It runs pretty well with linux but I would not try to install windows, it would be too much for this little comp

The hardware is cheap, I am hoping it will last... I guess we'll wait and see

Nice.

I bought one of these to play with. They day it was shipped I cut the warranty sticker and opened it up. I was surprised at the quality of the parts. Nothing looks cheap and it is well put together. Within a week I pulled the hard drive and replaced it...

Low cost. Low power consumption. Useful. Linux. Stock it uses less than 60w of power under full load

I would prefer Ubuntu or another distro over the default gOS, but it could be worse

Great for the price

Never gave the stock O/S a try, just installed windows xp, and office 2007. and all the regular programs most people would need for a home pc (email, web surfing, antivirus, watching videos, maybe burning a cd, and photo emailing). Set virtual memory...

Excellent price point, lightweight, upgradeable (memory, HD, PCI graphics), super quiet and cool, nice keyboard with soft strokes, nice scroll wheel mouse. Energy efficient at only 20 watts! and quiet at 28 dbs ; For somebody just wanting a basic...

no agp, or pci-e slots that i know of at a glance, but check with the manufacturer to be sure, but it's not really geared towards gaming anyway for the price. However this isn't a setback cause you can still purchase a 256mb card for under $50 and...

Great Basic Computing ...

For under $200 this PC is an amazing bargain. Great for basic stuff ... surfing the web ... office stuff

g0s is horrible. Installing a fresh copy of Windows XP was a breeze and made things sooo much easier. Just needed Sound and Video card drivers from MFG website. Peace of cake

Nice Computer for the Price

Runs fine for what my father needs.Heck its almost faster at loading into Linux than my $4000 custom desktop.

I bought this for my father who just uses it for internet and web browsing, its perfect for that kind of use

I find Linux gOS a bit......of a pain in the but't. Its not as easy as Vista or XP and it does have its issues. In fact, this is the only problem we have had with this computer so far, is Linux gOS

Great basic platform

The built in "GOS" with google-apps and open-office should actually be enough to suit those who only really use a browser, word processor and a spread sheet.

I bought one knowing that it would run Linux, but with the intent to use it as a UNIX based network router. The low power was the kicker, it will be running for the next several years ; We decided to try it with everything we had before it was pressed...

Hey its only 1.5ghz with built in basic video! Over-clockers and bleeding-edge gamers should look elsewhere

I built a Cool Server using this PC and EZblue

This is about the best deal if you are looking to build your own home or business server. I didn't want to learn Linux or pay for uncle Bill software. I have three computers connected to the server. Two desktops and one laptop. Finally I have all my...

I was looking for a good PC to build a small business server. I found a server software package called EZblue business server and used it on this PC without changing or adding anything. I installed the software and I was up and running in about 10...

Not everyone's cup of tea

This would would make a great PC for somebody who just wants to surf the internet, read emails etc. It has plenty of USB ports, but I don't know what hardware will work with this. I'd check out the Google site & the Everex site to see if this might be...

Great price. I bought an extra 1GB RAM (PC6400) and that works great. I installed Windows XP Pro on this system and things work great. Good hard drive & DVD/CD drive. Pretty fast CPU

Strange OS. Not a 'regular' version of Linux. Only runs Google apps by default. It lets you install Windows Apps, but they don't work. Can't get 'under the hood ; can only see the GUI. My built in sound card didn't work, but for the money I just bought...
