Acer Aspire Z3 (AZ3-715-UR15)

The Acer Aspire Z3 is a powerful all-in-one PC that handily speeds through tasks, but a coarse screen, a slow hard drive, and a dated design are turnoffs.

Solid performance. Lots of storage. HDMI-in and HDMI-out ports.

Grainy display. Slow hard drive; no SSD option. Lacks USB-C connectivity. Optical drive is DVD, not Blu-ray.

The Acer Aspire Z3 (AZ3-715-UR15) is a powerful all-in-one desktop PC, and has plenty of memory and computing power for, say, mathematical or scientific tasks. It has more than a few flaws, however, including an aging design, lack of USB-C ports, and a...

Acer Aspire Z3 Review

The Acer Aspire Z3 is a family-friendly, portable all-in-one with a 21-inch, 1080p touch screen and booming speakers, but we'd prefer a faster CPU.

Full HD display with wide viewing angles; Good wireless keyboard and mouse; HDMI-in port lets you connect gaming console

Dimmer screen than competitors; Below-average performance; Somewhat heavy

The Acer Aspire Z3 is a family-friendly, portable all-in-one with a 21-inch, 1080p touch screen and booming speakers, but we'd prefer a faster CPU.

Acer Aspire Z3 (AZ3-715-UR15) Review and Ratings

The latest rev of Acer's Aspire Z3 AIO prizes performance over modern amenities such as SSDs and USB-C. It delivers power in a legacy chassis, but we'd like to see a design update with less screen bezel.

Strong performance ; Sleek stand ; Quiet operation for an i7-based PC

Dated design ; No SSD option or USB Type-C ports

While the design certainly won’t offend, we would argue that an update is overdue for the Acer Aspire Z3.

Acer Aspire Z3 AZ3-715-UR52 Review

We could easily see a college student or stay-at-home parent buying an Acer Aspire Z3 for a dorm room or home office. It's a simple, straightforward computer that's capable and cheap, even if it's missing a couple features like a dedicated graphics...

The PC’s two HDMI inputs let you plug in two peripherals, like a Blu-ray player and video game console, and swap between them and the computer at will.

Without a discrete graphics card, the Z3 can’t handle intensive applications, whether they’re simple games like Minecraft or programs like Adobe Photoshop.

The Aspire Z3 is cheap, and that can mean a lot in the right circumstance. For a small family with simple computer needs, it might be just the ticket; just don’t expect top-tier performance or an abundance of features.
