Bought the 5.8 for the improved range and clarity, but was shocked to find the complete opposite. The phone's range is 3 or 4 times LESS than 2.4 phones. The phone drops your call when you get close to the range limit. The microphone on the phone is...

Talking Caller ID, Expandable, Nice blue color message indicator, looks good

POOR distance on phone,Microphone in phone and headset are not sensitive. Speakerphone is useless

Very well done, but not perfect.

 

VERY obvious message waiting light, looks cool, talking caller ID, extensions need no phone line.

Range poor, separate phone books for every extension, antenna likely will not survive first drop.

I like phones. Let me say that again... I REALLY like phones. I can't explain it, but I like to have the coolest, most feature laden, and latest phones in our house. So, when interference from the six or so previously coolest 900 MHz phones we had...
