The equal of ultra-expensive iPod speakers

Even if your iPod is the latest model, this speaker deserves a look at its current prices. It blew away Altec, JBL's, Logitechs, Bose and Tivoli speakers at 10-30 X the price.

This speaker is capable of putting a symphony orchestra in your living room, supplying full-frequencied, rich sound at loud volumes without distortion. Moreover, it accepts many iPods without the need of an adapter.

Not easily adaptable to new iPod Touch's (running iOS5.) In some cases, it's best to use a short audio cable between the Touch and the Athena iVoice.

Excellent sound

Hooked up to my Cowen iAudio F2 and U3 which are very powerful MP3 players and the sound is fantastic. Just the right mix of bass and treble with no feedback at the highest volumes.

No separate bass and treble controls even though it sounds great without them.

Exccellent Value

I compared the sound to a Bose, Altec Lansing and JVC my Father in-law owns. All three of those are $200-$350 units and the sound is very comparable. The sound is more natural when compared to the Bose which over emphasizes bass imo. The volume was...

Excellent Value for under $50. I paid roughly $35. Has an AUX input.

No battery, only AC.

Athena...good for the money

Worth it if you're just looking to put sound in a room with good quality at a fair price.

For the price I paid ($40) it's an unbelievable deal. It's not a top of the line superb sound sort of product but it's great for small parties (being a college student and all), working out, relaxing, etc. If you have higher quality MP3s you can...

It's not a thousand dollar system for the $40 I paid. Don't expect it to be.

Shot Out Of The Box

I got an RMA from the Egg which is fine, but my understanding is the item is no longer carried, so I won;t ever get one now.

Shiny and black. Supposed to have good sound quality.

Would not power on out of the box. I got several of my buddies to buy these (6 of them actually) when I found out about the Fathers Day special on them. Out of the 7 total purchased only mine did not work out of the box. How much does that suck? I tell...

Great Product for the $$

Buy it! it is worth your money!

Great sound for the price. It sounds much better than me gf's Logitech that was about $28 more expensive at the Circuit City. Nice Bass i was very surprised!!

it could have an equilizer, but again for 40 bucks it sounds like a $100 system

Excellent Unit

Excellent unit. My experience confirms everything stated in the review on other professional reviews of this product. Even at max volume the distortion is minimal which is a big surprise. Sounds as good as or better than "leading sound dock" . Remote...

While playing my iPhone on this unit (which works just fine if you turn off the cellular and WiFi) something malfunctioned when i tried to skip tracks with the remote. It sounds as if the track is skipping. I am able to reproduce this bug. I believe...

Nice

Newegg is the best!

Gotta say that this product Is real nice..Its for an average use of an Ipod. Furthermore, it recharges your ipod as you listen to it and while its on standby. Its able to connect to your pc or laptop. In addition, you can connect it to a video source...

No equalizer...(the ability to adjust the bass/Volume)

Rivals Bose Sounddock without question...

I was fortunate to pick this up for roughly 1/2 price somewhere else. Even so, at current price is an excellent buy. Seems to be a high quality product. Athena Technologies is owned by Klipsch so I'm not sure why this thing sounds so much better than...

Excellent product, easily sounds just as good as the Bose Sounddock. I previously had a Klipsch iGroove, which had a lot of amplifier hiss, none found here. Deep bass for its size, easily fills up a room with sound. Excellent highs... will amaze you...

Only available in Black Not portable, battery operated
