Like people in white gowns. The thing is, people haven't actually studied druids in enough depth to realize they're quite deadly when given the right back story. So the title may be a bad one, but hang on, for the plot picks up as the story progresses...

Relatively new software house, CDV, The Mystery of the Druids is (I think) the first in their 'House of Tales' series. You take the role of Brent Halligan (smell that testosterone!!!!), maverick Scotland Yard detective, a loser but chosen to...

Adventure games almost seem like a thing of the past these days with shooters and strategy title dominating...
MOTD is such a mixture of good and bad that makes this game a real underachiever. There are so few adventure games around these days that adventure game enthusiasts may want to give this a try, but be warned, you may find it rather frustrating and only...
If you were thinking about trying out a new adventure title for the first time then steer well clear of MOTD it's certainly not up there with the best of them.

The setup promises both sleuthing and suspense, but Mystery of the Druids delivers neither.

I have always been fascinated by stories surrounding the mystique of the occult. I will even take hours to research topics related to voodoo, paganism, Masonic history, and Egyptian mysteries in my spare time, just for the sake of personal enjoyment....
Some pretty background details and fascinating “adult” plot points make MOTD a bearable game
Poor character interaction, frustratingly illogical puzzle design and choppy 3D character models turn what could be a solid story-telling experience into a tedious adventure
Try MOTD only if you are willing to put up with rude character dialogue and idiotic puzzle solutions. If not, wait for House of Tales to release The Moment of Silence.
I soon discovered, however, that the image on the box is all the interest I would have in the game. Mystery of the Druids has mystery and it has druids, but it has little intelligence.

So how does it all shape up then? Well thankfully The Mystery of the Druids is a very good adventure game that deserves the attention of fans of the genre. An involving storyline, a delightfully simple interface, subtitles and pleasing graphics (in...
He soon enlists the help of academics Arthur Blake and Melanie Turner in his bid to solve the murders. However it soon becomes obvious that Brent will even have to go back in time in his fight against the druids and prevent the world from disaster

Alas, good memories are all you'll have. I'm very unhappy to report to you, Dear Reader, that The Mystery of the Druids is not even close to being a good game.
