Krups XP5210 Espresso Coffee Machine

A good and inexpensive manual espresso coffee machine

Supports ground coffee ans ESE coffee pods ; Inexpensive to buy and use ; Decent speed

Harder to use than pod machines

Using both ground coffee and ESE coffee pods that sit in the holder, the XP5210 makes it easy to avoid using expensive pre-packaged pods without an additional accessory.

Had this machine about 2 years. Simple and straightforward, it produces an excellent espresso every time. The self-tamper is an excellent development (we have a similar Krups machine elsewhere without this device, so can compare in real use). So far...

Problems with frother solved, but a good machine

  (Rating Hidden)

After initial problem with delivery, (John Lewis) we have used this machine for a few months now. The frother did break, which was replaced, and since then has performed OK. Advice is to make sure you clean the frother each time it's used, especially...

Cheap, lovely coffee, but with potential design fault

  (Rating Hidden)

I've had this model for nine months, and for the price found that it performed well. The self-tampering mechanism is clever (though a but of a gimmick), it heats up quickly, and dispenses delicious espresso. The frother, however, attaches to the metal...

It works - does NOT get really hot Only produces a weak piddle

Not the best machine on the market.1. The 'warming place' on the top is hardly warm until you are ready to switch off2. Even filling the container to the 'two cup' level only just produces one decent shot of coffee3. It does not produce a proper...

Poor quality product

I purchased one of these on line and for the first day or so it appeared to work well but then I noticed it was leaking onto the work surface. When I looked inside the coffee maker I could see that the space where the water tank was located was filling...

A Mean Espresso

It took me an age to decide which machine to buy. My Di Longhi had failed after the usual four years and there were so many out there. Most machines within my price range had four good reviews and then a couple of stinkers. This one had less stinkers...

Excellent replacement

Bought as a replacement for on older Krups model that expired after 14+ years' hard graft. Makes even better coffee, but the machine runs quite a lot slower than the old one. (Maybe that's why the coffee is better...?) This is not a problem as such,...

Useless

We bought this coffee machine in late January for our office after reading the good reviews it had.It started off well but gradually got slower and slower making the coffee and the steamed milk was watery. It was sent back to Krups and repaired in...
