Living with poorly-designed coffeemaker (don't throw it out until you read this)

These units go out after about a year and a half for two common causes. Most common problem.... When the coffeemaker fails to work it is usually the failure of one of two thermofuses accessible by removing the bottom panel. A continuity tester can...

Great looking. A good product after you fix it. See text

bitter brew

No, the coffee tasted fine, it's the lack of reliability that is hard to swallow. After reading all the mixed reviews (knowing the average was not so good) on this site I decided to buy the DeLonghi with my heart and give it a try. Bad, bad decision!...

looks, great features, stainless durability

reliability is non-existent

Overflows!

This coffee maker overflows all the time!! It's very aggravating because then it's difficult to handle and you end up burning your hand.

DCM485 Not Worth a Penny

Sleek design, colorful display

Overflowing, drippy pours, tepid brew, lasted 1 year and then died electrically. Sleek slug

NOT FOR COFFEE LOVERS

This product lasted less than 6 months. We lived with the temperature variations...unhappily. We tried to laugh off the overflows. We are a household of coffee snobs. We need a well made product that makes a decent cup of coffee without making a mess...

The thermal carafe

temp varies, machine overflows & was dead in less than 6 months
