safety hazard!!

 

I had it for 5 days and it made bad tasting coffee...and no way to fix it with extra coffee or stronger brew, and then one morning the warming plate started to smoke and it melted...had I not been in the house when it happened...potentially could have...

I bought this coffee maker for about $35, mainly to keep me alive during finals week in college (this is my first coffee maker ever). During regular days when I don't have exams to study for, I only drink coffee maybe 4 times a week, so this coffee...

This coffee maker was received as a gift several years ago, (the three-year guarantee has expired). Except for the water filling issue noted by others, until recently we had no serious problems with this machine and we have been pleased with the design...
