Vivitar DVR 426HD Review

The Vivitar DVR 426HD doesn't come close to outperforming the video camera on a flagship smartphone; however, it is exceptionally affordable. Plus, it can shoot in 720p at an acceptable frame rate, which is more than can be said for some of its...

It can shoot in HD at an acceptable frame rate.

It doesn't have image stabilization.

The Vivitar DVR 426HD can shoot in HD and it's affordable, but it lacks some useful extras.

Vivitar DVR426HD-BLK-SOL

Works as good as advertised.

It doesn't have a light or flash for night pictures.

Will not save photos or video

If it worked as it's supposed to I would give 3-4 stars since it's not supposed to be an overly amazing item.

The price. That's it, nothing else.

Will not save files to the media device (sd card). The camera locks up right after taking a picture or video. Cheaply made. Feels like a thin slice of plastic in your hand.

First bad experience

Vivitar costumer service was not helpful, at the end they just said to return to new egg since they probably will replace the product faster than them.

Did not get to see them. besides being cheep

The product did not work it just would not turn on. Both of them I bought 2 of the same

junk

Once recording starts none of the other buttons work. therefore you can't stop the recording without disconnecting the batteries. When that happens the video is lost.

none

cheaply made. save your money for something else.

Waste of time and money

Easy to use and inexpensive but batteries do not last more than 1/2hr and there is no power supply available. An 8GB memory card, which is an additional $10, only allows a little over an hour of recording - the manufacturer told me 2hr? And then if you...

you get what you pay for.

This camera works good for me. If you don't have something to carry it in, you might want to get the carry case they offer. It's made like a cheap camera, but if taken care of it could last a while. It's a good camera, not a lot of bells and whistles...
